I seem to remember America being in a very good position economically and politically in 2000. Gosh, it's like it all went down the toilet in the last eight years. Hmmm, I wonder what could have caused such wanton waste, stupidity and carnage to our country?

Meanwhile Back in Washington…Amy Klobuchar, Norm Coleman, Collin Peterson, Betty McCollum and Keith Ellison in a bi-partisan scandal are pandering to corporate interests at the expense of jobs for US Citizens by planning to dramatically increase the number of foreign guest workers to further increase unemployment and reduce wages for US Citizens. Raising the caps on existing Visa Programs, creating additional guest worker programs and plotting to grant amnesty to illegal aliens all compete directly with US Citizen workers for jobs AND wages. Call your representatives in Washington and tell them that they should not support importing additional foreign workers until the unemployment rate decreases, real wages (adjusted for inflation) increase and all US Citizens that are willing to work have a job.

Maybe foreign terroeists attacked US soil, killing thousands and doing billions of dollars worth of damage to the economy?

BTW: In 2000 the economy was already entering recession. Who was the President in 2000 anyway?

Then you have a very poor memory.
The recession started in 2000, by some measures as early as March with the collapse of the dot-com bubble. Bill Clinton was handed a roaring economy, and passed on a recession.

It is Al Qeada that is making the economy so bad. Yeah, lets get them out of Iraq then things will be better.
