Burn them jerseys you idiots !!! Then you can buy new ones when he goes into the Hall Of Fame as a Packer. That is unless he wins the Super Bowl as a Viking that just might change his mind.

Not a bad way to generate publicity for the br and to raise money for a charity. Though which charity gets the money? Didn't see that mentioned in the article. It would be cool if they tied it to something like the Susan G. Komen Foundation or the American Cancer Society, seeing as how there are players wearing pink (Favre among them) supporting Breast Cancer Awareness. The quality of reportage is declining in America, it seem like there are fewer and fewer facts and more and more opinions. Of course, I have no facts to back that up...

Oh how Wisconsin just oozes with class.

Burn those Favre jerseys that you payed a hundred bucks for. Bravo! You are showing him....

Rubes! That is all they are. Rubes.

When Brett Favre gets his number 4 retired by the Green Bay organization, aren't these people just going to look like the idiots they are. Good grief, people. It is a business. Your organization didn't want him. Why can't he play somewhere else? It is pea-brained people like these that can give a state a bad name and make them look really silly.

When Favre goes into the Hall of Fame, he will go in as a Packer. Then all of that Favre paraphernalia that these dummy's are burning would have doubled and tripled in value.
But at least charity will benefit from these dumb cheese for brains fans.

How long do you think the Vikings are going to put up with the yearly 'I'm retired, I'm coming back' scenario? Ther is no future with a 40 year old QB. If there was another QB option in Minnesota, Favre wouldnt be here either.

It's their stuff. I guess they can do with it what they please. Seems dumb to me. I'll take them and you can buy them back after the HOF induction.

What a waste!! I do understand the feeling as a sport fan. However, there are many kids out there could definitely use a good jersey, etc. Donate them to the kids instead of burning them!!

Come on people, this is getting real old real fast. I am a lifelong Packers Fan (living in MN)I also am a Favre Fan from way back.
The Packers Org. didn't want Brett anymore,so be it. Football, after all is a bussiness.Who are we to tell a man what he can or can not do with his life and talent? Last time I checked,it was not against any law for a person change thier minds about retiring. The man has talent, let him use it as he sees fit,I don't like to see him in Purple, but I would never tell him not to follow his dreams. Just get on with the game!

Sports fans are fine
Sports nuts are crazy
Anyone who would burn Favre stuff is obviously taking this way too serioiusly, and thus move from "fan" to "nut"

I think some fans might just have a little too much emotional attachment to Favre. It is an entertainment buisiness so just enjoy the rivalry.

Children, dumb, freaken idiots, rubes, idiots, dummy's, shut the f@#k up, f@#K off, freaks.....
And you say people in Wisconsin give ourselves a bad name?! This is the crap that gives Minnesota a bad name, Minnesota nice, huh.

I for one will keep my Brett Favre jersey's and as long as he still has what it takes I hope he keeps doing a good job for the Queen's. But some of you in your state, such as most of you who have posted on here so far don't deserve him. It's the few of you that are overly opinionated that ruin things for others.

Also, if Eau Claire wants to burn jersey's let them, what's it to anyone else anyway?
