>Oh yeah, well you try paying all of your bills without the government check that most of you inner minorities seem to enjoy.<p> Unemployment rate for African-Americans is around 7.5%. Which means for about every 10-20 African-Americans you see, only 1 of them is without a job and collects a government check, which means 90% of them have a job. >You try to pay your own food bills without an EBT card. Don't tell me about hardship.< Already do. I grow my own food in the summer because food bills are so high. How about you? >You try and ride around town in a car that has factory rims and not the big spinners--talk about hardship. My "car" is a mountain bike. My real car is a rusty Volvo that doesn't work. >You try walking around with Walmart sneakers and not Filas, Nikes, Jordans, and Keds. How embarassing.(sic) Filas are sold at Wal Mart, you dufus. >You try and have hands with little bitty weak nails that you have to hide and not big fancy acrylics. There's a 93.3% chance that the black people you saw with the fake nails had a job, you dumb racist. >You try having a father that you know the name of that you mother married before you were born---talk about boring. Birthrate out of wedlock also affects the white population too. A majority of all American births are out of wedlock. >You try keeping your legs shut and not squeezing out babies every one to two years, all before you are 18--look at all the excitement I missed out on. Ditto. Out of wedlock births are spiking in every population. >You try dating only men that have jobs, education, morals, and values and not exciting gangsta's, pim$s, hustl$%s, and boi'z--what a great Play'a I didn't get to know. Wow. Not only do I have an expensive car, but I'm also gay! You sure know a lot about me, pumpkin! BTW, I'm a guy. >You try calling people Sir and Ma'am all the time and not n&*^&r, b(*#h, H0e(sic),crack#%, and G and Shorty-- Nobody over 35 uses those words. >look at all the diversity I missed out on. Who are you to tell me about hardship!!!! I'll tell you about hardship, hun. When we immigrated here, we came with nothing but a suitcase full of clothes and a dream. Part of the dream was marred when we had to deal with white people like you prejudging us to be lazy just because of the color of our skin, but we sacrificed our comfort to make sure we had a semi-decent living. Today, we still do it. My brother can't make as much as he wants to because no real employer would take him seriously. He has an A plus certification, he has an MS certification. He has a 2 year degree in computer science, but makes far less than what people in his field make with the same qualifications. In fact, seeing how my brother suffers is the reason why I'm majoring in business, that way, I will probably not have to work for bigots like you but instead I can find work for myself. That's what hardship is sweetie. Growing up in America as a black immigrant. Now **** you, and **** your stupid stereotypes. BTW, if you're going to be so anti-diversity, move. America has had its society imbued by non-northern European Americans so much, you probably don't realize it. Proof? Salsa is the #1 sold condiment in the entire United States. You probably had chips and salsa when you watched the Superbowl.

Seems like you want to have it both ways. My own experience in minnesota is that blacks get preferential hiring treatment in at least 50% of the companies, so I think you are mistaken. You can't school someone about racism in the same post where you engage in it.

Yet we have nothing for all the white folks who were displaced due to the construction of I-35E, between Hwy 36 and downtown. What gives? I was born in a hospital, it was either Miller or Riverview that is now 35E, so where's my commemoration. San Fran. is very concerned. They are well below the national and Calif. of the percentages of black people living. This is of great concern to them. The rich yuppie liberals feel sad and may have a city-wide Rondo days for them.

WOW i live here wrote: <quoted text> You know nothing!! Rondo days is not like that at all. This is a peaceful happy event that has been going on for years. There are lots of white people who attend as well if that makes you feel better. The only white people going there are female. Chicks who went and thier concerned mothers who try to keep an open mind and tries to discuss with her daughter the dangers of rape. Dad resighned himself a long time ago. Her brother is no where to be seen.

Nothing but Chicago blacks. As for being one of the hardest jobs in the world, I can probably attest to that. The inner city schools don't teach you anything except how to be a consumer and not a leader, the cops automatically assume you're a criminal even if you're as pure as the driven snow, so do employers. You have to work twice as hard to be even considered on an equal plane with employers, then you have to crawl over the backs of people who haven't worked as hard as you did. Those people that didn't work as hard as you did constantly harass you for working hard to get out of your squalor. Yes, there are a lot that work their way out, but it's VERY hard work. You try going to a school where the teachers don't care and it's pretty much a juvie hall. You constantly get talked down to by store owners when you want to buy something nice, even when you probably know more than they do, you constantly get bothered by policemen for going into the "wrong" area, and then if you happen to fall for somebody of a different race than you are, you have to deal with their potentially racist parents. You grew up with few if any hardships in your life. You grew up in a safe neighborhood. You grew up in an area where people didn't prejudge you as inferior immediately when you walked into the room. So save me this Pollyana view of how it's so "easy" for a black person to live in this society. You've never had a hardship in your entire life. You are one big tear jerker. I feel so guilty now. You are right. We should not feel upset at honest, concerned fathers nearly murdered at Valley Fair, I will no longer judge the EBT card given to an out of state person (I work in an industry where we have to take account of such things), and the list could go on. I mean with afro american men having the hardest job on the planet, and little extra bling on a black may be the only joy he will ever know. I feel so bad. Here, take my tax dollars.

Minnesota may have been better remaining a true American state of nordic people's. It was a far better place. You must love the good looking German farm boys here, or some other northern Euro background. Is this so?

J-Dub from the HUB wrote: <quoted text> Here's what gives... Your folks were able to move anywhere in Minnesota their little hearts desired...my folks were not able to this with the same "walk into a bank and get a loan and live anywhere I want" attitude that your folks have enjoyed for years...decades. Racial covenants and things of that nature did not allow for the same flexibility, you see. For this and a myriad of other more important reasons, we celebrate. If you'd like to celebrate being displaced by 35W, please feel free to start your own community celebration. Loan officers at banks normally require steady employment, length of employment, education level, and current salary. They are there to make sure the loan will be payed back. They want to see some kind of personal responsibility. If you put down welfare it is huge NEGATIVE on the application.

The asian/pacific islanders did that. That is my point. The suggestion in all the articles about the event is that Rondo was an oasis. If so, the residents would have duplicated it. And what was duplicated was the Dale/Selby region and Frogtown. Dale Selby is finally coming around. But not because of the displaced Rondo-ites. It is because many many liberal white folks moved in and rehabed all the old houses in the area.

Subject: CNN Special Below is the link to an upcoming show CNN is doing. It's truly going to be a winner. I'm asking everyone to pass this on so they can watch and keep it going. They are also going to have this in all the ICE theaters in Chicago , for a special screening on June 23rd so if you can go see it or tell a friend. It is extremely important that they get lots of feedback from this show in order to keep making shows about the misconception of blacks. Please watch this clip. Even if you are not interested please forward this to someone you think maybe. God Bless You All! http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2008/black.in.ame...

Sorry, I have a job (Soon to be two) and money left for me by my dad after he died. While your dad was out drinking beers and muddin with his buddies, he was working. So he left me with a huge amount of money from his years of hard work. Pretty soon, when I graduate business school, I might be paying yours (Well, if I claim Minnesota as a residence instead of SD). Hope yer truck is Diesel because gas prices are expensive. And I noticed I received a lot of negative ratings. So what? I don't care. It just means that there are a lot of rednecks that refuse to hear the truth about their sheltered world veiw.

"Can't we all just get along?" Rodney King.(Not much different than Martin Luther King right?). We must be more sympathetic, It's hard to be a 29 year old grandmother with 4 or 5 different fathers for her children. Where confusion reigns violence takes over. This is a fatherless culture and has the scars to prove it. Until there are real fathers, it is a rudderless ship. So stay out of prison long enough to be a father and teach respect for everyone and this can be a bad memory and be put in the past. And another thing, try marriage before childbirth too.
