I wish he had a hand gun and had been able to shoot the intruders.

Even in the burbs, you NEED to keep that garage door closed. We live in Cottage Grove and had our garage door open during the day and had many items stolen - while we were inside - thank God it was only golf clubs and other misc items...and not our lives.

We had someone enter our home in the middle of the night through our "left open" overhead garage door. He took my wife's empty purse and left ASAP. Our local police were at our home within minutes

Over they years I have stopped at neighbors homes in the wee hours when I see that they forgot and left their door open. One guy TWICE.

I always keep our door closed even if I am in the backyard.

I agree, we left our garage door open by mistake and someone had a great time in our cars, garage etc. We only lost a few things but it was scary to think that they were there when we were sleeping. Also in Cottage Grove.

It's horrible that people would do this. This level of violence is just so awful.

I would also like to know why, if the police didn't want to share the victim's name, the Pioneer Press chose to find someone who would tell them and then promptly share it in the article. Perhaps there was a reason the police didn't share it.

Is there an affordable housing unit close by in Burnsville? You could probably find the suspects there. Or in Brooklyn Park. Perhaps they are already heading east-bound on I-94.

I think you left the garage door open and called someone to come over and steal your husbands golf clubs.

Now the man has to spend the rest of his life in a fear prison (his own home), Neighbors, real dedicated neighbors, dogs that raise hell is about all we have, Anyone anywhere anytime can be this victim.
Scumbags killers and cowards no longer even fear the law, Maybe if they don't have insurance or don't wear a seat belt they may have a concern.
The most frightening part of this open attack on citizens almost daily and there is NO Outrage from victims, that are told over and over do not protect your self just be a good victim and turn your losses into the insurance company.
Joe citizen has become the target of many.
