Joe you are really starting to sound like a right-wing blowhard. You and the Pioneer Press used to have my respect but now it is turning into a regurgitation of the daily Republican talking points.

What I find incredibly arrogant is that a two-bit newspaper columnist with a community college degree can actually claim to know more about global warming then the 1000's of scientists that have spent decades going to top US universities and studying geo-physics and climatology.

What next? Cigarettes are no longer addictive or dangerous?

Another masterful commentary by the old cumudgeon! The only comparable disection of this empty suit that I have read recently was in Times On Line by Gerard Baker, Anyone who wants a good read, Google it. Keep up the good work Joe, you have one faithful reader, at least, here in Arizona and even though you take a bashing from the Beleive anything crowd, some of are as skeptical of this George Soros manipulated product as you are.

Soucheray is a hack.

He gets it wrong.

I support Obama not because I am subject to believing anything but because in the face of persistent, blatant lies, I choose to move away from the stink.

Joe would have us believe that the war in Iraq was necessary and justifiable. That Sadaam had cached a massive arsenal of nuclear weapons, that the economy is rosey, and that it is only the stupid, lazy, and uninspired that are going through hard times.

Soucheray consistently spouts right wing ilk even the rest of all can see the swirl of water flushing what's left of the American dream down the toilet.

WHY would a thinking person opt for four more years of that? What magic amulet does the Republican party have that would hypnotize us into believing that their next four years would be any different from their last eight?

No, it's time to throw the rascals out. That's change I can believe in if I can't believe in anything else.

What makes you so sure that Obama is really what he is touting? I thought so too until I started checking out more about his wife. Her history scares me more than McCain's. Now I wouldn't vote for either. Where is the candidate that is really beholden to no one but John Q. Public? Somewhere out there, someone has to step up for what is right and justifiable. This country needs that. Sadly I don't think it is Obama or McCain.

Zig Zag Nut, Oh! I'm sorry, I meant Express. The governments of the world truly embrace gullible short sighted short minded people such as yourself to keep the global warming myth alive and well. You've stated 1000's of scientists believe in global warming, well If you weren't so short minded you'd realize these same 1000's of so called scientists will be guaranteed a great income from now until forever working for the government on behalf of saving the world while being paid with the hard earned money from the tax payers. You would think a person receiving a pay check for studying global warming would experience some guilt or shame for taking money under false pretense. On the other hand, there are 1000's of scientists that claim global warming is a myth, well it must be that these scientists are already successful and have no need to get involved in a myth to secure employment.

When scientists told us Pluto wasn't a planet, and after so many years of believing it was and them telling us it was and now to find out it wasn't a planet. What a shock. Oh well, so much for scientists being in the know.

Hey! Marshmallow mind, it appears you do not have the mental capacity to read, study and/or find the facts on your own before making a decision, it does appear however, you must be a puppet that has to rely on other people to tell you what decision you should make. Make a decision on your own
come on try, it'll make you feel better about yourself.

Barack Obama was touring Europe and sounding vaguely un-American...ya think. I would say he sounds exactly like Karl Marx/V. Lenin or Stalin...so the Pioneer Press has at least 1 respectable writer, Joe S. Wonder if he is a minority of 1?

Finally someone can say something about obama without feeling like they have to be politically correct. I will most likely not vote becuase neither appeal to me but at least I'm not so shallow to even think for a moment that someone who says everything that people want to hear is ACTUALLY going to change anything. I don't buy this "world is going to end if we don't stop driving denali's around" deal. Though I'm not against helping the environment but I do see something wrong with the fact that this whole ethanol thing isnt all it's cracked up to be just to save us a extra couple years. I'm actually starting to think I hope obama gets in just to see him fail and then all the people sucked in will realize their mistake for believing someone who has been in office for what....a year? Yes, he can make change........but not a good one.

The only thing I have to say to you is;
If you don't vote, you lose all your rights to complain about anything the winning administration does for the next four years. At least go to the polls and write your own name in.

Be realistic, no matter who gets voted in, we're still all losers. And it
doesn't make any sense complaining, there is no one there to listen
or really care. So basically we're on our own the only thing the
government does is to cause interference with a normal and
happy life.

Such hubris on Obama's part. Can't recall an American politician running for office ever going to Europe for a rally in front of thousands proclaiming "People of Berlin, People of the World, this is our moment, this is our time". Not even John Kerry in his wildest dreams thought he could get away with that. The only similar overreach I can recall in recent times would be President Bush piloting his own landing onto a destroyer and giving his "Mission Accomplished" speech. If it works, it would be a historic moment, if not - well, its history in a different light. As for Obama's European vacation, we'll see...

Be careful what you wish for. I hoped for the same thing after Americans let George W. steal the 2000 election.

I'm not sure if it's okay for one to wish for the woodpecker to sink the boat, but it's defintely not okay when one's on that boat.

I was going to vote for Obama till his recent trip. After hearing his speeches I can not vote for someone who is that anti-American. If you closed your eyes, you could almost hear Hitler speaking. Also, his failure to visit our boys in the hospital over there sickened me. Now I'm not sure who to vote for. Maybe Hilary will get back in the race.

Antiamerican? What part of the speech did you listen to. The part where he said we have made some mistakes? Well, we certainly haven't done that and if we did, it's certainly not okay to issue even a muted mea culpa to those egg-sucking Euros.

Are you that malleable that you can let them throw non-issues at you and you contort and flap accordingly. Did Obama not visit the troops in the Middle East?

When McCaine was in Ptomaine, Ohio, did he stop off to see the really forgotten soldiers--those vegetating in stinking, dilapidated stateside 0VA hospitals?

I have one thing in common with Soucheray, we both can be rankled by the seeming deftness of much of the American electorate.
