Threatening teacher's salaries is something they used to do in Louisiana:
"We need budget cuts!"
"Ok... um... ok, slash teacher's salaries."
"Oh, wait, never mind on the budget cuts."
"OK, whatever."

That's the lamest of lame. If he were really Republican (No "big government"), he would slash the salaries of the Representatives (and himself!). Will he do that? Obviously not.

Just can't say no to spending the taxpayers money.

Best way to resolve the problem is to suspend salaries of the legislators and their staff until they agree on a budget.

It would work in NY as well.

Yea, And does any one realize that Arnold and his wife Marie Shriver who is a neice to the Kennedy's is pushing to amend one of the laws of our constitution. They want to make it possible for acitizen from another country that comes to our country and becomes a United States citizen to be able to become President of our United States. There is a reason this was written in the Constitution and one of the principles for prohibitinga person other than an American born citizen to obtain President of our country. There seems to always be the concern of loyalty among othe specifics to their foreign country.

If it's the legislators that he's having a problem with then why is he threatening the wages of other state workers?

Holding innocent people's wages hostage in order to threaten legislators? Gee nice job Arnold. Are you having a flashback to your Terminator days?

Go for it Arnold. You have a the biggest liberal problem in the country. Smack those girlie men around.
To bad you could run for President. You would make a great VP for McCain and then President.

Go for it Arnold! California is a hell hole anyway! Make the actors cut their pay while you at it.

This is a genius idea. I hope it works out for them.

I think that cutting the pay of people that have no input to the budget process and forcing them to loan the state money is a disgusting thing to do, especially given the high pay and spending allowances of the elected officials. I think that they should stop being paid and have all of their expense accounts frozen until they pass a budget and then maybe they'll be motivated to pass one on time. Life won't come to an end if they have to drive their own cars but it could have a devastating effect on lower paid employees. The rest of us have to face the consequences of being financially irresponsible and they should have to also.

People, remember, the government is US!! We elect those that pass the votes to increase taxes (Californians want entitlements but are angry they have to pay for them?) If we don't like what is going on then it is up to US to do something about it besides sitting on our sofa and complaining!!

Leave the little guy ALONE - Suspend salaries of the legislators, PERMANENTLY cancel their expense accounts and freeze the pay for their staff until they agree on a budget.

McCain Was not born in the US. If you read the Constitution literally(crazy idea) he is not eligible to be President. He was born in Panama.

It's always the little people that get screwed. Arnold sits in his castle, with his hundreds of millions of dollars, and threatens to drop the hammer on the average working class. At the same time this is happening, California legislators will probably pass through their own 25% salary increase as a reward for all of their "hard work." These people are scum bags, Arnold included.

REPORT:$1 BILLION WASTED IN CALIFORNIA

http://www.ncpa.org/sub/dpd/index.php...

Californians can save more than $1 billion each year by eliminating unnecessary medical treatments, using less-expensive but equally effective drugs and reducing other kinds of waste from the health care system, said a report released yesterday by the California Public Interest Research Group (CALPIRG).

**Study Shows 25 Percent of L.A.'s Welfare Goes to Illegal Aliens**

http://www.hometownstation.com/local-news/ill...

Supervisor says county spends more than $1 billion a year on benefits to illegals. According to new data from the Department of Public Services, nearly a quarter of Los Angeles County's welfare and food stamp benefits goes directly to the children of illegal aliens, at a cost of $36 million a month. "The total cost for illegal immigrants to County taxpayers far exceeds $1 billion a year - NOT including the millions of dollars for education," said Antonovich. "With $220 million for public safety,$400 million for healthcare, and $432 million in welfare allocations, illegal immigration continues to have a devastating impact on Los Angeles County taxpayers." In March, illegals collected over $10 million in welfare assistance and $16 million in food stamp allocations.

Screw the little guys. There is no such thing as a little guy, there are only lazy, unproductive mushbrains who vote as they are told. If they had any brains , they would be state officials and legislators who really need the high salaries that they are paid,
