This, and most sports stories are so painfully stupid. Who cares less about grown men chasing each other and a ball around a field?

This whole stroy needs to go away, Favre is such an ego maniac, he loves all of this attention as it just feeds his already overbloated ego.
This creampuff thinks he is bigger than the NFL, bigger than the game itself.
He has now soiled his reputation and image/legacy forever.
He would get us to the SB, but he'll never come here because of the Packer brass. So to he** with him and the whole story.

Yep, they make millions while we the working stiffs row the boat. Football is a great sport though for real men. I doubt you would understand as you take off your panties tonight.

I doubt that the most elite athletes in the NFL could carry the jock straps of any one of the US Olympic gymnasts. A Football game is foty five minutes of action crammed into three and half hours.

Chilress really thinks he's something, doesnt he. Comes in here (MN) takes a playoff team < backwards and the rebuilding began. Adrian Peterson falls into his lap and he still manages to ruin a 5 game winning streak by completely falling apart against Washington in a gutless effort even by Vikings standards. The guy better stop trying to swipe other teams players ala poison pill and a go for broke trade for Allen... He better win that first game in Lambeau or he's going to have plenty of time to chit chat with Favre and the rest. He hasn't proven anything to me. I have high hopes for this team but not because Childress is head coach (for now) I believe in Rick Speilman...

This is getting bad...

Keep him or release him... Packers organization is really handling this badly... Favre asks if he is welcome to training camp and Thompson tells him no! That he (TT) could lose his job if Brett shows up? McCarthy tells him (BF) that he is unable to compete for the starting position???

Before, Brett would be welcomed back but as the #2 QB??? Which one is it?

This is concerning to say the least... This is no longer about what is best for the organization... These two guys are very upset with Favre...

Understandable? Sure... But this is not the time for personal feelings... They have to remain objective for what is best for the Packers and not for what is best for TT and MM.

Depending on which way to go... We all have to be concerned that this is being handled very poorly...

Childress is a idiot and shouldn't be coaching in the NFL, I really don't think the phone calls were anything but phone calls but wouldn't it be great if the NFL said different and we had to fire his sorry ****!

Well, I think that all the Vikings fans, regardless of your feelings towards Favre, can feel some mild gratitude towards him for clearing this whole mess up and revealing Thompson for the jerkoff he is.

Are you asking for "my panties"? Or do you just want to slap my buttocks, like a "real man"?

I can see how pro sports means so much to you.....

Of course they talked about him coming to the Vikings. You think they did not bring it up? A second round draft choice to the Packers. And a $500,000 fine.

Aside from the true gentlemen packer fans we have roaming our board, eric and normallylikeyellow, what this whole fiasco has shown me, is this:
Whacked out fans.
If I were either Favre or TT, I'd have some obnoxiously large bodyguard protection, and I'd be packing some serious heat. I truly believe that there are packer fans who would shoot either one of these two, depending on the fan affiliation.
What I read coming out of these fans on the internet is as close to terroristic threats as you can get by with without someone chaining your leg to a wall.
No matter how this plays out, it is still just a game, start acting like it.
Ooops

Thanks brother. I may become "usedtolikeyellow" if this keeps up. Fran the Man knows my Vikings roots. Anybody notice that we've pinned our hopes on a guy who couldn't beat out Kyle Boller at Cal and two guys with 15 days experience running the West Coast offense--and we have a GAME in 11 days? Arrogance at its highest--and pride comes before a fall. You Vikes definitely have the perfect opening.
