why ask? Did it sound as though there was a personal agenda with that very basic comment?

It is a tragedy, for the victim, family, driver and witnesses. Sasha, when people have an open forum to make comments they usually get way more off track and judgmental than this string of comments. Try not to read into them. also as a rule the comments from THIS newspaper are much less politically slanted & with personal agendas than the Star Tribune. DON'T read their comments unless you have a need to torture yourself. I grew up 2 blocks from where this happened. If the driver or victim had been younger/older or had a name suggesting that they were an immigrant or minority someone would have verbally attacked them by now. The intersection usually has cars parked all along the street except where the bus stop or fire hydrants are. We weren't allowed to cross 7th street until we were in HS except at the lights & when I drive I avoid turning left on to 7th or crossing from a side street.
I am truly sorry for your loss.

Thank you for trying to explain heartless insensitive comments, however there is no excuse. I would be ashamed to be so callous about someones death, I suppose no one ever taught these barbaric people any manners.

Where Have All The Flowers Gone
Where have all the flowers gone, long time passing?
Where have all the flowers gone, long time ago?
Where have all the flowers gone?
Gone to young girls, every one!
When will they ever learn, when will they ever learn?

Where have all the young girls gone, long time passing?
Where have all the young girls gone, long time ago?
Where have all the young girls gone?
Gone to young men, every one!
When will they ever learn, when will they ever learn?

Where have all the young men gone, long time passing?
Where have all the young men gone, long time ago?
Where have all the young men gone?
Gone to soldiers, every one!
When will they ever learn, when will they ever learn?

And where have all the soldiers gone, long time passing?
Where have all the soldiers gone, a long time ago?
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Gone to graveyards, every one!
When will they ever learn, when will they ever learn?

And where have all the graveyards gone, long time passing?
Where have all the graveyards gone, long time ago?
Where have all the graveyards gone?
Gone to flowers, every one!
When will they ever learn, oh when will they ever learn?
