Times-Standard news 7/07:
==========
"Two women were arrested early Sunday after they allegedly hit a woman and took her purse. They were tracked down by police after a short pursuit.

Dalina Lynn Sovereign, 29, of Eureka, took off on foot running through a lattice fence and evading police for about 10 minutes before being found in a large shrub."

T-S news 4/08:
=========
"The task force and Eureka Police Department raided two residences early Thursday. Agents found and arrested 36-year-old Jack Sovereign on charges of possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, parole violation and maintaining a residence where controlled substances are used/sold."

T-S 3/09:
=========
"Eureka Police officers arrested four people at the foot of West Del Norte Street Thursday on drug and weapons charges. At the scene, officers reported finding two vehicles and four people. The EPD said Dalina Lynn Sovereign, was arrested for a parole violation and for allegedly possessing brass knuckles."

T-S 7/09:
=========
"The third suspect in a recent Eureka daytime burglary was arrested Thursday. Eureka resident Shad Andrew Sovereign, 27, was contacted in the motel room and taken into custody for a parole violation."

T-S 3/10:
=========
"The Humboldt County District Attorney's Office recently announced that it has charged the following people with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:

David Andrew Sovereign Jr., 49, Eureka."

T-S 7/09:
==========
"Richard Lee Sovereign, 54, was taken into custody for alleged public intoxication at 1:30 a.m. Saturday outside Jan's Pub, according to a Eureka Police Department press release. During a search of his person, police allegedly found about $500 in cash and about a third of an ounce of suspected crystal meth, packaged evenly in 16 small bags."

T-S 3/10:
=========
"Humboldt County meth dealer found guilty in trial.

The former bouncer for a Eureka bar was convicted of possession of methamphetamine by a jury.

Because of 2003 convictions of transportation and possession of methamphetamine for sale, Richard Sovereign must serve two-thirds of his sentence.

T-S 7/10:
==========
"The Fortuna Police Department responded to a structure fire at an apartment complex on the 100 block of 12th Street. Dalina Sovereign, 31, was later arrested on suspicion of arson and booked into the Humboldt County jail."

T-S 8/10:
==========
"Two people were arraigned last week for the murder of Jack Dale Sovereign, a Eureka man who was killed in June.

The victim of a killing outside Eureka Tuesday had a long criminal record, including the attempted murder of a 62-year-old man during a burglary in 1991.

In September 1991, Sovereign entered a house on N Street in Eureka and startled a 62-year-old man, who was sleeping on the couch. According to Humboldt County Superior Court documents and news reports from the time, the man reached for a phone to call police. Sovereign tore the cord from the wall and then repeatedly stabbed him with a knife. He survived with serious injuries, and police found Sovereign about two blocks from the scene and arrested him.

Sovereign pleaded guilty to attempted murder, and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Sovereign had several other felonies on his record, including a 2002 conviction for felony transportation of a controlled substance -- he was sentenced to six years in prison and five years probation. He pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance while on parole in early 2008, and then possession of a controlled substance months later."

T-S 9/10:
=========
"After searching the residence, officers found methamphetamine, heroin and drug packaging materials, among other things, according to a press release.

Shad Andrew Sovereign, 28, and Kimberly Lynn Sovereign, 44, were both charged with possession of a controlled substance for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia."

There are so many of them to keep track of and only limited parole agents.The reasoning for the return to county of origin is obvious.Familiarity.
In Cal.there were 80,000 parolees returned to prison last year for violations.Some countries don't have 80,000 soldiers or policeman much less prisoners?

get people to take charges for the drugs and scales in his room, and maned up to his **** then he may have been the only one in jail seems how kim and shad both passed the last drug tests 3 for 3 weeks that they had to pass to stay in my home then you would have less to talk about. but only you people would know every thing about every one and talk a lot of crap while hideing behined a screen name can pass judgement. welllet me tell you the sovereign famaly has taken many hard hits but they r still always the ones to step up when you need some one. they are all welcome in my home any time
My point was that you don't have to be a sovereign to be a piece of s***. This isn't the first time she's been in trouble. She's been around the dope house block many, many times for many, many years, and I'm sure this wont be her last.It's not the name, it's the addict.

For pete's sake if you want to be taken seriously, get an education, learn to spell, and try to articulate your thoughts more thoroughly. I know you are here....all heart....but without the proper English, some people will discount your intent, including me. So sorry. Put some "try" into it.
