Oh Ye of little intellect. I like every other person in this world am complicated and made up of many parts. When defending myself and those I love I can be more savage than anyone and then sleep like a baby afterwards. But that is just one part of me and if you can't tell that there is serious substance to me by my posts than your screen name should be Lehigh Quack!!!

I drive through the South Side every morning on my way to work....With my car doors LOCKED!
I have to go that way to get to work.
WORK....Ever hear of it?
Most people on the South Side just stay home and collect welfare check(s) once a month.
Seriously? I work on the South Side and walk everyday at lunchtime. I've never had a reason to worry. There are many homeowners on the South Side who have lived here for years and who do not collect welfare. The homeowners and business owners along S. 4th Street take great pride in their homes and storefronts. If you're scared of the South Side, perhaps you should find an alternate route to work.

Why you so scared? Do you only feel safe when surrounded by other white people? Does the thought of interacting with those of other cultures and colors frighten you? Is it because you may be forced to confront your overdeveloped and completely undeserved feelings of superiority?

Why do you make such generalizations about people? Does the concept of critical thought make your head hurt? Enquiring minds need to know!!!

To be honest to both.. I see where you are both coming from. Unfortunately what you consider diversity, he considers poverty and criminal. And to be fair.. You are both right and wrong. happy medium. Diversity is good, but when it is mostly a poverty stricken place you end up with a demographic of mostly criminals. I call it like i see it. There is no argument with that. Although this guy is obviously being more racist than honest.

Profanity does not equate to intellect. Savage is as savage does.

Since you opened the door to perverse psychology let's talk about the perverse psychology of the ownership class. They are infected and consumed with the sickness of greed. They consistently put profit before people. In their minds the good of the individual trumps the collective good. And let's not even talk about their disgust for those who cost them money in order to protect the environment. Anyone with an ounce of objectivity in them can see that the haves are no better than the have not's. Only the misguided believe the haves are better simply because they have more money. So in conclusion F*** you and anyone that thinks like you!!
Wow!!! A food stamp, Excuse me, Access rant!!! What else can you give to me!!! I will Take, Take Take!!!
life is great

All south Bethlehem needs now in addition to all the redevelopment is a recreation center and a nice supermarket, then we would truly be an Oasis.

You know, I just feel the need to post a view that somewhat opposes the views I posted earlier.

The picture the Morning Call used for the article was of two young girls having a lot of fun. I'm always glad to see people, especially young people, have fun. The young people who will enjoy that park are likely not the ones who are going to destroy it. There's nothing to feel good about if those kids lose their play spot.

The ones who have bad intentions are those who don't want to see others enjoy life. There are lots of reasons they feel that way. Not much money, drugs or druggie parents, low education, low opportunity ... the list goes on. There are no easy answers to address that.

I'm glad the kids in the picture have a place to enjoy. But I still think it will be an uphill battle for that park to survive, let alone thrive. I wish the city and the upstanding residents of the area all the luck in the world. Although I think there's a large concentration of people in that neighborhood who want to rain on the parade, I don't think it's majority or anything even close.

Yeah, even though I shop at Aharts for reasons of location and convenience I know there are better places.
