Musikfest Review: Poison still has its chemistry

Metal band Poison has been at it for 22 years and its concert Tuesday night at Musikfest showed their chemistry remains strong.

I thought Poison was a joke at the time (chick metal circa 1986) but I've grown to appreciate them. I wouldn't pay to see them, but I won't turn off Every Rose Has a Thorn if it comes on the radio.

I thought they put on a super enjoyable show. They played to the croud and they enjoyed being there as much as we all enjoyed them being there with us. Of course, having Brett as the lead singer is certainly not hard to handle. He must be the most gorgeous man ever created. My daughter calls him "dirty hot" and that isn't a bad thing. I'd follow him anywhere.

This review is a joke. Could have at least got the songs right...maybe do 5 seconds of research next time.
I was at the show Tuesday, the audio was aweful. Not only was it low but it kept cutting out. None of the idiots screaming "I wanna F you Bret" seemed to notice though.
Also, there was nothing amazing about CC's solo (there never is). If you want to see the same show again, you can watch the dvd they released about a month ago. Same exact show, except with a coupe more songs. Lame

I thought the show was fun. I will say that the audio was pretty low, but they sounded great.

The show length was just right, any longer and they would have had to of played a bunch of unknown songs as filler.

I was a headbanger back in the day, but always liked Poison! I tried to talk the hubby into going to the concert but he was not having it! Turns out my 13 year old son just discovered them and loves them- too bad it was too late to go!

The show rocked! I loved it! Bret is hot and i have been a poison fan since I was in high school in the early 90's. It was so great to see them in my hometown still rocking their hits and being able to drink a beer during the whole experience! What a way to spend a tuesday night!!Thank you! Can't wait for another show!

I live within hearing distance, and I think they were the loudest act so far this year. The crowd noise, too, was the loudest so far.

I bet STP with BRMC will blow them all away, though. At least, I hope so -- and I'm not even a fan of either group!

Poison is still the greatest band to see live. Even though I was back farther then I'd have liked to be still was a great show. Of course, Bret's after party at Crocodile Rock was even better.

I was at the show myself ... took my dear hubby along, and I have seen them several times previously.

It was not the best, I admit... but being outside with the bugs did not seem to help, I admit. I would have liked it to last longer, but apparently everyone was jonesing to go to Crock Rock! Did anyone else notice the horse poop on the way out? Hilarious!

And RD, if you are reading this, the song will always be "I Won't Forget You, J.J.!" no matter how OLD we get!
