Im not advocating that a new law should be passed since Im a Liberterian. Im merely making a suggestion. It is in the best interest of bar owners to use some restraint when refilling mugs from Musikfest. Chances are the person is already intoxicated and serving him/her will only worsen the situation. Patrons should only have their mug filled once. Customers that wander in from the Fest should be scrutinized and examined to determine if they should even be served. If they are somewhat coherent, give them the refill. If not, tell them no. It is not advisable to serve shots to any Musikfest customers. Bars should have a 2 shot limit anyway. This is the way I would run my bar. It's up to each individual owner how they run theirs. Im just offering my valid suggestions.

My bar would run like the wind, cheap tequila sunrises, oldies all night, serve the booze till they fall over , drag them out to the street to sleep...like the old days.really like the old days the cops would take them home...and that would be it...oh well it was a good thought radical one, but I would be drunk myself most of the time...LOL |
|
I'm with you, and you can hold a side arm at all times. You settle disputes with your fists, then draw guns if agreed to. Lawlessness worked so well in the past.. Now the Govnt cant get enough control..lol still radical, but a thought none the less. |

I could go the other route too. But, I would still look out for my customers. I would offer free peanut butter on rye sandwiches, fruit, Vitamin C pills, vitamin b pills, and milk thistle. I also would allow customers to sleep it off in the basement. |
VITAMAINS, Radical one, peanut butter sandwiches, on rye to boot, not only get drunk but puke as well.....Milk Thistle???? OH MY |

Milk Thistle has been proven to help those with Liver problems. Many drs have finally admitted this and will encourage patients to buy it. If you drink a lot and take milk thistle before passing out your hangover will be less severe and much shorter than normal.

Now there is some information I can use ;) |
Is that in pill form, or chewable grain form, I will need that tommorow night, fun session at the barn, we do tip the bottle up there, and we are not a bunch of drunks up there but we do like to have fun.. |

My only comment is that I think Bethlehem should always have bar to bar trolley service year round. There would be much lower incidence of drunk driving, at least among city residents.
|
I think you should run for MAYOR and make sure you put that in law sweetie, can I be on your mayoral team??? |
|
Do you actualy own a bar or just giving "if I did" examples? Regarding your post overall, aren't you just saying that bartenders/owners should follow the state laws regarding "VIP's"? It seems as though this is obvious as the bars could be shut down if htey don't... |
|
Bethlehem apparently doesn't have enough mooney to solve real social-ills like gangs, murders, robberies, etc., but you think we should spend money in a bar-to-bar trolley? |

That would be a fun weekend idea! No worries about DUI's and it would help revenue for the local bars! |

Who says the city (tax dollars) has to pay for it? Why not use the hotel tax or even a small tax on alcohol receipts? I would have to think insurance company's would feel a little better about insuring a bar if they provided this service as well. |

Thanks, you bring up a good point. Many bars complain that sales are down because of DUI fears. Here's a way for them to all pool together and bring customers back in. |
Let's get a petition. Best ideas I've heard all week.(And I don't even drink much anymore). lol |

Yes but I don't get there to often anymore, now that I have a little one at home. I love their appetizers. |
