Had a 35 chev club coupe. Salesman car, ran well but could barely pass horse and buggies. bought it for $40.00 and sold it for $350.00 to a stock car racer. Max speed down hill was 52MPH.(almost blew my cigarette out.)

Bought mine at Ramstein Germany in 1974 from a guy returning back to the states. Drove that car all over Germany, Austria, Holland, France, Switzerland while in the Air Force there. No air conitioning, no cruise, juat an AM radio, heater and an engine that could keep up with most any German car on the Autobahn. Handled like krap on the curvy, narrow back roads, also was hard to park in the european-designed car parking spaces.

Sold it at Alconbury England in 1977 when I bought a TR7.... which is a whole nutter story...

1966 Plymouth Satellite 383 engine, 4 barrel carb and 4 speed, I still have the original shifter hanging in my garage next to my picture of the car, rust colored, black gut, am radio with a reverberator dual rear speakers, dual exhaust, and beatiful hubcaps... F-70 14 firestone wide ovals that didnt last long at all actually they were not the original tires on them..skinny tires that really didnt last long!!!! After that a Barracuda formula S 383, then a Super Bee 383 4 speed post car with AC, then a 70 Satellite with a 383 , a sleeper car, then the last of my muscle cars was a 73 Challenger 360 motor, then I got married..........What I would give to get those cars back

It was a 73 Plymouth "Gold" Duster, the color was Basin Street Blue with a white reptile skin half vinyl top, white "Boy Racer" stripes down the side, white vinal bucket seat interior, a 318CU V8 engine and a fold down back seat that had a fold down divider going into the trunk. Of course there was a lot of bondo on the body, it seemed like every rain brought out more rust. I would sand down the rust, bondo, prime, paint it with Duplicolor from the Penn Jersey store at Ceder Crest Plaza and then do it all again later. It had no A/C the seats were torn so I had Cheap-skin seatcovers that were less painful than vinyl in the summer sun. I have fond memories of the car but with the way those cars rusted, one almost had to live in Arizona to make it last. Ya know if you switch the first and last letters of "Duster" you get the word "Rusted".

As a woman and a motor head it saddens me to read your post."then I got married..........What I would give to get those cars back".
I hope you got rid of them for other reasons then getting married.

Oh I am happily married 4 grown kids, and yes I miss the cars but family was more important back then, so did I make the right decision, you bet, wouldnt trade my family for all those vehicles, so I really should have lengthend my post a bit..but I am sure there were more besides me that got rid of cars for the same reason, not offending the women folk at all....I am sorry if I did offend you , but not meant that way as I posted it...I got a lot of good things since then, a grandaughter tops the list, and other living things, but to have a car like I did, well maybe some day!!!!
