McCain TV ad accuses Obama of shifting views on Iraq for politi...
McCain's sharply worded criticism was not limited to the ad. He said Friday that Obama would be facing a far less secure Iraq "if we had done what he wanted to do." The 30-second ad, running on national cable ...

A Democrat stating that a Republican is responsible for higher gas prices in a Democratic controlled house. Those damn Republicans are all powerful.

If Obama wants to win, he needs to opposed the war for empire reasons... not this **** footing around it on technical 'mismanagement' reasons.
We control the oil in the gulf. And as a result, we finance and arm the worst thugs on the planet. The populations that are on the wrong end of that gun are all **** off at us. End of story. Don't like it? Oppose it. Otherwise why complain? Just vote McCain. This election is Obama's to lose. But it looks like he is using the playbook on losing. This is why my friends are somewhat convinced that the Democrats MUST conspire to lose each election cylce..as if they are doing it on purpose. I simply think they are completely out of touch with how to build a real working class base built around stopping the 40 year upward wealth redistribution programs brought in by the modern Republican party. |

The reason I'm voting for Osama Obama is that he'll put an end to this dastardly Global Warming (e.g. 98DegF in CT), which was caused by George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. In only 8 years he has reversed everything William Jefferson 'Zipper' Clinton and ALGORE did for the environment!
Wait a second...wasn't the SUV born under William Jefferson 'Zipper' Clinton's and ALGOR'S watch? I seem to remember FORD motor Company spitting out Explorers about one a second while their administration was in orifice. Ohhhh- cancel my earlier statement about voting for Osama. |

What an idiot you have to be to believe Obama is anything but a hack and an opportunist? When I hear he passed over a chance to go with a big law firm, it amazes me that stupid Dems don't realize he did this because he wanted to go into politics and the way to get into Chicago politics is to become involved in these neighborhood action groups where money men like Tony Rezco and Jesse Jackson hold sway. Groups that hate whitey. Obama chose a career in politics, and those who wanted favors from him rewarded him with a do-nothing job for his wife in a local hospital in "community relations" starting at $300,000 annually in return for him doing favors for the special interests who gave his wife the do-nothing job.(Yeah, he' sjust like you and me - Did you start at $300K a year?) Yet there are fools who see nothing but the enpty "change" message and think this uy will change the world. I get sick of listening to him say "uh" and "you know" whenever he is not giving a speech someone else prepared for him. It doesn't matter to the "Hate Bush" crowd, though. They are too blind with rage and hate to see anything than Bush is the fault for their own ineptitude. Everything is Bush's fault in their lives and everything will be better if they vote Obama.

If I had to list all of McCain's flip flops in this post you wouldn't get done reading it till sometime tomorrow. McCain is a seasoned pro and current Flip Flop Champion of the World and future Flip Flop Hall of Famer. Obama is a rookie compared to McCain when it comes to changing his positions on issues. So before anyone calls out Obama, you need to start with the one and only the McFlipper!

This why i will not vote for John Mccain! I am tired of the personal attacks instead of talking about issues that matters to everyday americans such the economy--- high gas prices, high unemployment, real estate crisis and the mortgage meltdown, etc.
Another republican voting democratic. Obama 2008! |

Nobody seems to know who that man is with the tan wrinkled suit and the peckernose that almost always is seen standing near McCain. Is he a member of the campaign staff ? An ordinary go-fer ? His chauffeur ? |

Two Political sleezeballs, each accusing the other of being a Political Sleezeball, and each acting like a prototype Political Sleezeball, and hoping WE DON'T NOTICE!!
There is not a dimes' worth of difference between them, and John Mcain wrapping himself in the flag makes me want to puke. Obama makes me want to puke on General Non-Principles. McCain is just lying about being a "principled conservative", he is neither. Obama is a glib, lying Lawyer ( the only kind), and it comes so easy to him, and at every turn on every issue every day, I just can't believe he is not a puppet for the Chicago Political machine. People have gotten worked up about his Preacher. The Preacher told it like it IS..remember? He told the newspapers, "I have to say what I have to say to be a Pastor, but Barak, has to say whatever he HAS to say to be a Politician." Period, Dot, Bingo...He will say anything, do anything, abandon anyone, betray anyone, slander anyone, and hope WE DON'T NOTICE. Well, I notice..its no choice this time around..but at least there is NO Clinton yet..(yet.) God Bless America..God HELP America in the hands of either of these two Horse's arsses. |

YOu are full of it. Obama has been attacking McCain personally for a while. Pleae explain how Obama will help with gas prices, high unemployment, and mortgages. He said he will raise taxes. That won't help the employment it will actually reduce jobs. Gas prices will get worse due to the fact he wants to tax oil companies more. They will pass the taxes on to consumers. We already pay about 55 cents a gallon between federal and state taxes. The mortgage problem he needs to stay out of. The market will correct itself. So I have conclued there is no way you are a republican. You mention you want to hear about current issues. The only thing he talks about is Bush's failures. |

Even the media outlets are picking up on Senator Obama's inablity to maintain his views past what the public wants at that moment.

You brought up points which are handled by congress, our DEMOCRATIC congress. Executive branch does not handle issues of this nature the legaslative branch does. |

The ad, sad to say, is correct.
If you want to learn the main reason why so many people refuse to vote for Sen Obama and SERIOUSLY question the motives of the DNC and others for supporting this candidate…just read the links below. If what you read below infuriates you- remember-as a voter you have several options-NOT JUST TWO OPTIONS (MCCAIN OR OBAMA)- Sen Clinton HAS NOT assigned her delegates to anyone. As of today-all her delegates still belong to her so…no…she is not out of the race yet. These links provide information (factual-well sourced where applicable) and the opinion pieces are ‘intelligent and rational”. Do not include trashy remarks or tons of adjectives-JUST FACTS as to why the person believes what he/she is telling you-ie what is their opinion based on. You can help to revive the Hillary Campaign, AND/OR Help Cynthia McKinney (Green Party) and /or Nader/Gonzalez. All are EXCELLENT candidates. Check out their accomplishments in the past. If you believe that we need a third party system-visit www.votenader.org (Nader/Gonzalez) And http://democratsforrealchange.info/ (McKinney/Clemente). You can support the right to have many party candidates appear on ballots and if you choose-in November- you do not have to vote for the third party candidates. PLEASE AT LEAST JUST GIVE THEM THE RIGHT TO APPEAR ON THE BALLOTS SO THAT FROM NOW UNTIL NOVEMBER THEY WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN PUBLIC DEBATES CONCERNING THIS CAMPAIGN. ALSO HELP THEM GET A FOUNDATION FOR FUTURE ELECTIONS. LOOK WHAT A TWO PARTY SYSTEM HAS DONE TO SEN CLINTON (& OTHER FORMER CANDIDATES)…AND TO OUR COUNTRY. Visit their websites-see what help they need from you. You CAN support ALL 3 campaigns but –obviously- in November- You get to vote for 1 . Send them a financial contribution-WHAT EVER AMOUNT YOU CAN AFFORD TO- and/or sign petitions so that they can appear on your state’s ballot in November. Pass info on to your family, friends,co-workers. PLEASE EDUCATE YOUR FELLOW VOTERS. http://vodpod.com/watch/857180-why-chicagoans... http://www.youtube.com/watch... http://www.thecityedition.com/Pages/Archive/S... http://www.youtube.com/watch... http://www.youtube.com/watch... http://www.notfallinginline.org/ http://www.swans.com/library/art14/ga251.html http://www.youtube.com/watch... http://www.youtube.com/watch... As it stands presently...this election process has become a choice between democracy (McCain's campaign process) and totalitarianism (DNC & Sen Obama's campaign process) |

Why does Obama want to impose additional taxes on oil, gas and coal companies when it is well known that business s pass these additional costs on to consumers in the form of higher retail prices for gasoline and home heating oil?
Why does Obama want to give drivers’ licenses to illegal immigrants? Why does Obama want to provide illegal immigrants with free healthcare? Why does Obama want to block additional drilling for oil and advocate wind and solar power which are not proven to be technologically adaptable for wide scale use? Why does Obama want to put the brakes on nuclear power when the rest of the world is embracing it and getting as much as 80 percent of their electric power from it? Why does Obama want to send billions of our tax dollars to Africa and other foreign places to help alleviate poverty when there are American Citizens living in poverty and suffering hunger here in the United States? Why does Obama want to raise income tax rates, the capital gains tax, the social security tax and reinstate the estate tax when these measures will hurt small businesses and the elderly living on their life savings? |
|
The irony of McCain criticizing anyone else for flip flopping is spectacular. What is/was his position on the Bush tax cuts? Roe v Wade? torture? ethanol? Bob Jones University? Every one has been a 180 since 2000!

Is it not enough that the presidential candidates critique each other, but that then the newspaper has to further analyze?
We need to awaken to what's going on. We're deluged with this ribble rabble of what the candidates think of each other. It's ludicrous. It's also a waste of news-space. What do these politicians really stand for, what are their records as opposed to what they say about themselves and each other? |
|
Which proves what? That he is exactly like Obama? That he is exactly like any other lying politician that ever ran for office? Tell me something I don't already know. I want to know what they will do to help me cope with rising energy costs. This affects the working man's wallet more than any other present issue. Obama is a democratic senator in the democratic majority legislature. What has he (they) done to help lower energy costs for those of us they allegedly represent? Jump on the moron Gore's globull bandwagon? Whoopdeedoo. What has the moron Pelosi done to keep her promises to us to lower gas prices when she and her do-nothing cronies got elected? The Democrats say they are for the working man. What have they done for us in the past 40 years? CT has had a democrat majority legislature for as long as I can remember. What have they ever done to help the working man? That's right... NOTHING! Vote 'em all out! |

yes if you had a list. McCain never wavered on Iraq and many issues that were very unpopular. McCain has gone against his own party when it was unpopular. McCain has always done the right thing even when it wasn't popular. As for the war, do you feel any safer after the terrorist attacks, do you remember that fateful day after 9/11. Do you remember the time Saddam invaded quwait and set all the oil refineries on fire and then killed 100,000 of his own people after the UN agreement. How do suppose saddam killed all those people? Do you remember Saddam paying suicide bombers families that killed innocent people in Isreal. Do you remember Saddam praising the 9/11 pilots? Do you remember the UN sanctions where he refused to let UN inspectors inspect areas without prior requests. Do you remember him flat out letting scientist speak to inspectors. Do you remember what happened to 2 of these scientist that disappeared and were later found dead? Do you remember the UN food for oil program where Saddam used the profits to build and SEEK military weapons. Do you know who supplied Saddam with weapons in the first place and how much. Finally John McCain has spent more days in a POW camp than Obama "Hussian" Barrack has been a Senator. He has written and engineered more bills than Obama has been a Senator in office in term of days served. How bills has Obama introduced , how many times has he voted against his party lines. Did you know McCain has been re-elected more times than the number of bills Obama engineered. Now remember back to that awful day after 9/11 and think hard how insecure you felt this country was. Think hard. |
