what a shame kaplan buckled to the huizenga's fame and fortune....i thought he was better than that.....i would like huizenga to have been confined to my house instead of his....maybe he would appreciate what he has and what he could lose if he pulls that stunt again.....

How can we continue to claim some type moral authority position in the world we have just as much corruption here as anywhere.
Only money counts for anything. What a great message were sending.

We are not equal before the law and lawyers are not equal before the bar. The American justice system is neither just nor systematic.

give him 80 days on a chain gang and he would have some remorse and will surely not drive drunk again

I am facing my 4th DUI conviction and if I plead guilty I am going to get 120 days in jail(which I probably deserve) and no one was hurt. If I fight it I will get 18-24 months in prison. And as for violating the terms of his probation/house arrest anyone else would have gotten the max sentence allowable by law. It's nice to see how impartial the sytem really is.....Go Kaplan!

Educate yourself. It's who you know and how much money you have. It's about knowing the ways to beat the system, until karma catches up with you, it always does. Call someone to pick you up, don't kill someone in the process because you think you're ok to drive. Wake up people!

Interesting have you told the Almighty this???

Why is everyone surprised that this happened? If Huizenga received a stronger sentence or served the full term of the sentence, then that would be surprising.

This is another example of politics involving itself in the government. Halaberton, OJ Simpson, Barretta, Robert Blake, EX Sheriff Ken Jenne etc etc etc etc. Let some poor Bast**** get caught breaking the law just a little and we will throw the book at em!!!11

Hey, Thats fare right?

Wayne's boy got a sweet deal and it was not just because he hired an influencial lawyer, it is who he is. A 3rd DUI in 10 years should have carried more jail time, but in this case we can certainly guess why. True DeAngelo's case was a bit different with a 4th DUI and a different judge known for giving the hatchet--Murphy. What should be interesting is whether Mr. Huizenga's driver's license has now been suspended for 10 years by Highway Safety or unless the folks in Tallahassee gave him special treatment. Also when Mr. Huizenga is finished serving his suspension period he shiould be required to use an ignition interlock device for 2 years. Let us see if that actually happens. How nice on his 3rd DUI he got the red carpet. It is who you know not what you know in this state! Time for a change voters wake up and clean house don't vote for incumbents just vote for the new folks and when there term is up the next new folks. This way some of the corruption can be curtailed.
