Jusy wondering what the SS criteria for having a comments section is, this story about 2 police officers colliding on their own bikes has one. Maybe so the public will know how dangerous cops are. BUT, a story about a mother with an extensive criminal and traffic past who kills herself and injures her 2 sons in a wreck doesn't! What gives. Is the SS prejuidiced against cops?

of course they are not sure who caused the accident. These are trained cops and they can't figure out which one of them caused it. They cover each other's butts no matter what. Lets see which one sues the other and which one is out on disability
Typical New York trash!

Are they being treated as if it was a line of duty accident? That way the taxpayer picks up all the expenses for their accident. If not, unless the cops are willing to eat the expenses for medical treatment and motorcycle repair, they will have to report it to their insurers. And one will have to be ruled at fault. The bright side to the story, is that only the two cops were involved. No innocent civilians.Looks like a little dilema for the police to handle.

You are either a convict or someone who has a terrible driving record and gets pulled over every other day. These two individuals risk their life everyday to protect protect citizens, even morons like yourself. An accident could happen to anyone, even those who race cars for a living.

You are assuming that these are trained Motorcycle cops. I am a trained police officer and I have never ridden a motorcycle in my life.

You say you are a police officer, but you don't know about motorcycle safety? Time to send you back to kindergarten.

As previously suggested and no doubt in my mind...you are a "dirtbag" that has a criminal past and several failed attempts at your GED. You have no facts to base your ignorant rant. Do you know what that is idiot? "Ignorant rant". Sure you do, it is most likely your life's story. I can't wait for you to find a thesaurus or dictionary and respond, this sould be entertaining.

I'll have to go back and check, but isn't it illegal to ride side-by-side in the ~same~ lane? Will a citation be issued?

Just because he doesn't ride a motor that doesn't mean he hasn't been trained in Motor safety or Traffic Laws. Speed Racer must be another genius who got his Law Enforcement training watching TV.

I had always thought that you had to be staggered, one slightly in front of the other. Even legal, it's not a good idea. My motor endorsement was grandfathered, I didn't have to take a test.

Thanks for the info.
