You go by the rules and conserve. Then the city doesn't make as much as budgeted so they raise the rates. Why comply? It's a stinking game with these gov't managers. They will get you one way or another. Vote them all out.

Then why do people in Coral Springs have to pay the "SOUTH FLORIDA WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT" in their taxes if they have to pay for their water and sewer?
That makes no sense at all. It's still a waste of MONEY and there is no way for them to explain this.
They're robbing the people of Coral Springs of money that there is no need for, correct?

Elected officials? Where are you? Protecting the people or accommodating the government departments? This Country is so ****'d up it isn't funny. Everything goes up up UP except for paychecks. Blame hurricanes, blame oil prices, blame the war, blame Iraq, blame mortgage companies, blame every entity and what does corporate/government do? Pass it on to the poor slob taxpayers and guess what?? They'll pay, of course they'll pay, there are no other options. We (the middle class) will NEVER see good times again, the government will milk us out of every ****'g cent we have. And while they're doing that...they (the government) will continue to dole out money to underachievers, immigrants, and those that walk among us that will never amount to anything.

It's all based on consumption. If we had no drugs--not as many police needed, less kids--less schools needed. They (we) all want consumption. If we all cut back the country would fold..

A 16% increase for FPL

A almost 9% increase for water...

None of this a surprise for residents..expect more increases that will eat away at your precious property tax reductions..

Forget the beaches and great "weather"...still happy I left..I rather have money in my wallet..than a pocket full of sunshine...

Wonderful! Another freaking increase!

Also, with all the people that have left Broward county, the financial burden falls on the rest of us. My friends were smart to leave when they did. They sold their house at the peak of the real estate boom.

I don't know how much longer S. Floridians will be able afford all these increases.

Coral Springs water usage and sewage are down. The taxpayer's blank check has come to an end. Time you start making cuts and work with what you have.

Coral springs is divided into three water districts, the city runs one. If you get water from the city it typically costs you more. A typical water bill from the CS improvement district is $30.00, if you get city water it is around $60.00 without the increase. Plus what ever you pay in assessments on your tax bill.
The reason they are in need is they keep upgrading things that could have waited. Everything has to be perfect for awards they go for. This hasn't passed yet, those effected can still go to the next meeting and raise hell.

This complete B.S.

You follow directions and cut back on water usage.

You think you're saving money because you are using less water and they simply charge you more.

My God. When will it end?
