Maybe the 200k that the "Clueless Four" seem to think doesn't matter wasting should come from their salaries. The downtown blightness will not be corrected in the mere 20 days that Zyscovich needs to make his evaluation. Common sense tells us that now is not the time to build on Young Circle. Do we really need more stores when Downtown is like a ghost town? Do we really need more condos when Radius and the beach sit empty? Seriously, what does it take to tell you that this 22-story project is just too big and not the right time to build?

In the boom times of condo sales you had to pre-sell at least half the units to get a construction loan. While Hollywood can approve and rezone all they want they still have to get a construction loan to do this and with Raduis and Hollywood station nearly empty how do they expect to get financing?

Chip Abele is a fool to think this project will succeed in the blighted downtown area. Who will buy all those condos and what crazy bank will finance this disaster. There are thousands of condos in foreclosure all over the tri county area in a lot nicer places than downtown Hollywood. What makes this arrogant guy think this will work. This is a recipe for disaster. Radius failed and had to be auctioned off at pennies on the dollar. Chip you are a nit wit.

Yet another foolish waste in a city infamous for burning money. It's just laughable to hear this phony call the corner of Young's Circle BLIGHTED. Does she even realize there is a city beyond the 3 blocks of downtown???? There is blight all over the place but definetely not in the CRA money pits.

At least Bober understands that nobody else in the city wants more of this nonsense.

As someone else suggested regarding those new projects in Sunrise, it's really beginning to look like these zoning approvals are simply payoffs to developers/campaign contributors so they can see a profit when they try to unload the property in a terrible market. These massive projects will probably never be built, at least not to that scale, because the demand will never be there.

I agree with your comment about Asseff only watched alittle of this show on cable and she was in such a hurry to vote so she could get out of there and go eat. This woman should have never won as a commisioner. It shows you that anybody can get dressed up and shoot a political TV commercial and run it non stop 24/7 and they will win..All empty promises..This project should be shelved in favor of a smaller developement that fits in with the old archetecture of Hollywood. The 22 story Arts park villiage is a failure waiting to Happen and so is Radius, Regent Park, Hollywood station..The real estate market isnt turning around for 10-15 years and places like Hollywood with its hodge podge ugly developments will be the last to come out of the ruins of the continuing real estate crash.

It is the same old crap going on in Hollywood even with "new people " in there. When will the elected officals learn what the citizens want. We are tired of hearing about another development is going to save us. The only thing another development does is to money in the pockets of our elected officials. Downtown Hollywood still sucks after many many years of pourign money into it. What about the rest of Hollywood ? What is ever going to be done to the old Hollywood Fashion Mall ? There is a Hollywood west of 95 .The elected official just care about the rich neighborhoods of Hollywood . The poor neighborhood can rot as far as they are concern. Bober and Furr are not going to get my vote next time. They are showing that they are nothing but idiots !!!Bober is turning out to be another Mara. Did she teach him how to screw Hollywood ?

Its another clear case of the politicians doing what ever they want when they want to do it. Forget the people they were elected to represent, screw them, but the developers, now were talking real money. I would rather see the homeless bums, crack heads and pimps than the crooked lousy good for nothing politicians and blood sucking developers who coulod'nt care less about the normal people in Hollywood. Throw them all out.

I hope everyone involved is conscious of the fact that the Radius condos just had to auction of their properties because no one bought the initial units. This is going to be a mistake if it is not thought out in a more productive manner. Building for the sake of building is not progress. Building to make a difference is progress.
