All of you need to STFU! How about you TRY getting on a bike and then you'll see just how irresponsible drivers are in watching for other drivers/riders.

Ask yourself this question... Do you look in your side mirror and turn your head to check that blind spot BEFORE changing lanes EVERY single time to change lanes?

I bet you the most of you will answer no, not always. And for those of you who say you ALWAYS do it, you're BS'ing yourselves. So before making assumptions on the riders, why not stop and think for a minute about what the driver could have been doing as well.

As a backseat rider, I have witnessed a few times now where we have been cut off by a driver that did not look and just merged into our lane. Hell, just last Wednesday a friend was in a turning lane and a lady merged right into him ignoring his horn and all. Sent him and his bike right into the ground.

Stop and think for a minute people instead of assuming. Stop making **** ses out of you and me.

Vinnie's right, Liz you are an ****. If you ride you know that it is a lot harder for vehicles to see you since you are a lot smaller so as a rider you have to take upon yourself to make sure that you are seen. I think it is very evident that these 4 were traveling at excessive rate of speed and probably startled the driver as many riders do as they zip by motorist. Just stop and think for a minute and please think before you write.

It's very easy to judge someone actions with cold indifference and anger when they are not YOUR brother, son, father, husband or nephew. Life has a strange way of changing our minds when it happens to us. And believe me, your cruel judgement and heartless comments WILL come back around to you and YOUR family. I just hope you will REMEMBER YOUR WORDS THEN. Call it Karma,Sowing & Reaping or whatever... It ALWAYS boomerangs back! Think before you rant! It just might be YOUR KID NEXT TIME!!!

Yes as a matter of factI do check my blind spot every time, because as a driver in this wonderful state I always have to worry about speeding idiots and irresponsible drivers trying to beat me to a merge or light and or not using turn signals when changing lanes. I trust my judgment. I don't trust anyone else's. So jump off with your assumptions.

i wouldn't say anything . . . if it weren't for the fact i DEAL WITH these motor-bikers or whatever you call them, and they make MY LIFE more dangerous. FACT. It's an epidemic and everyone knows it. It's been like, on the news and stuff. And it's hard for the cops, even if there were any on the road, to catch these people.

I was a witness for this crash. There was a van. The lady driving the van swerved into the lane running 2 bikes off the road the other 2 lost control while trying to avoid the accident that just occurred. When fhp showed up the lady who was driving the vehicle that swerved said she was hit from behind. Later she came forward and apoogized saying she lied and nobody hit her. there was no damage to her vehicle. if these guys were traveling so fast and hit her there would be significant damage to her vehicle. Again I was there and I saw everything. she swerved and ran them off the road. The bikes were traveling the same speed as the rest of the vehicles on the ramp!!!!! My prayers go out to the familys and the injured.

I'm glad nobody died. Hopefully, they will learn a lesson and SLOW DOWN! I ride a cruiser bike and have had a couple of sport bike riders do stupid things on the road that not only endangered them, but ME as well. There will be a special report on WPTV channel 12 News out of WPB Monday the 12th at 11:00p.m. Take a look at what these morons on sport bikes are doing. It may be time to make sport bikes illegal on the highways for everyone's safety. Too many sport bike riders can't handle the power and speed.
shut the h... up dont let me see you in the road cus ill show you stupid

I was coming home last night from work at 3am and I saw a group of motorcyclists gathering on I75 in weston. When I got home getting ready for bed I heard the motorcycle races on 595.
When are the police going to put a stop to this? No respect for the law or for other people driving on same road.

With today's medical expertise and knowledge, we can fix a lot of things. Stupid is not one of them.
Helmets are a good start, but they do nothing for neck or spinal cord injuries. Humans like to take foolish chances with their personal safety. They don't consider the impact on their future, or the future of their family members, who have to change their lives to care for them after they've made an emotion-based, testosterone-fuelled decision that injures or disables them (and possibly other innocent drivers?). There's no thought to the consequences of their actions, nor their future health and welfare. When will they learn that the human body is fragile, yet expected to last for decades?
for spinal injuries theres something we call vest that ofcourse your dumb a.. dont know but it protects your spinal proven any other questions?

It's amazing how officials can blatently lie and there are no repercussions. The vehicle in question had no rear damage. The driver changed lanes abruptly and hit the motorcyclist. The vehicle SUPN out of control and as a result additional motorcycles went down. The driver confessed to the first officer on the scene and the officer relayed the confession to the one rider that didn't go down.

It seems that i nSouth Florida when a motorcycle is in volved in an accident with a car, all of a sudden florida car drivers are the best drivers in the world so clearly the motorcyclist must be at fault.

Sorry for venting but this is just getting old.

I know the people involved in the accident and many others who have paid the price (some with their lives) for trying to enjoy riding in florida...myself included.

Sorry for not bothering to spell-check my prior post, I was in a hurry.

Yes, I did graduate grammar, college and grad school. I won't disrespect your profession because there are some officers out there who are honest and do put their lives on the line everyday. Unfortunately not all are the same. The same concept applies to same riders who all get lumped in with the reckless ones.

Now although I won't disrespect your profession, you are another story....so when you're done spellchecking perhaps you may try to take a stab at grasping the point of my post (it may be difficult for you, so you may want to get some help).

Let me break it down to you in layman's terms...(oops sorry, that means terms that even you may understand.)

The bikes weren't speeding.
The driver changed lanes without looking and hit 2 bikes.
On a 2 lane bridge there really isn't anywhere else to go.
Coming out of a turn a motorcycle can only stop quickly by straightening up from a lean (which would have put them all over the bridge).
The driver lied then recanted (sorry...changed her story) then changed it again at the urging of THE LAW on the scene.

Now that wasn't so hard too understand was it?
