This is the only way we'll change the terrible history of animal misuse and abuse in this state; by educating the young. They in turn will, hopefully, educate their dumb parents who like to chain up dogs and refuse to have the family pets sterilized and then dump the unwanted puppies and old dogs. Hurrah for the young; they are ours and the animals' hope.

This is a wonderful story about important work being done to empower youth in their quests to become who they are meant to be. I applaud the Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society, the young camp participants, their parents and all the volunteers that made this camp happen.

Thanks for inspiring!
