the Federal Justice system should step into New Mexico 'law enforcement', make a review, and clean house, as there is no justice in NM for victims of violent crime, domestic violence and drunk driving murders.

Julie is one of my best friends and I still love her. We were engaged and had some problems and split up about 3 years ago. We were still so close and talked all the time. I knew they had a lot of problems but I never expected the **** to do something like this. I miss you Julie and I always will.

I knew him from before when he lived in Amarillo. He was a psycho and he scared me. We used to joke that he would come in and shoot people in the office he worked in but there was always that serious overcast in the conversation knowing he was capable. He was dillusional. He was always saying that someone was trying to kill him and that there were people out to get him. If you were at a restaurant, he would say the person sitting behind him was a contract killer??? I hope he stays in prison for a very long time.

I'm so sorry Jeff. She was one my good friends here in Santa Fe. I can't believe this has happened. I can't fathom how Mark could do this. I am in complete shock right now.

MadLaw, I encourage you to stay in NM and work to change the system. Part of the reason the NM justice system is broken is because educated natives give up and leave.

Marco, while you have reason to be frustrated, tell us, the public, what we can do to replace judges like Michael Vigil and Stephen Pfeffer. If you're a lawyer, have you considered becoming a judge and trying to change things from inside the courthouse?

I worked with Julia at the Home Depot and she was an amazing lady. She will truly be missed. Our hearts and prayers are with her family.

How do we get Michael Vigil off the bench? Everything I read about his actions as a judge is the exact opposite of what I would consider justice.

If there is never any justice, why are the prisons overflowing? The knee jerk reactions on this site about stuff like this is ridiculous. Off course he will go to prison.

For a population of over 70K, 4 murders in a year is pretty low. This site is nothing but whining and criticism.

If you don't like it here, go back to where you came from. You won't be missed. Don't let the door hit ya where the Lord split ya!

This was just on the ballot. Didn't you vote NO to the question, should Michael Vigil be reatained? I did.

Having lived and prosecuted crimes for 17 years in CA, YES I can say things are worse here. It is not that there is more crime here (though the per capita rates are extremely high for the population) it is that NO ONE is appropriately punished if they are punished at all. This place is Disneyland for all the idiot criminals.

Another sensless murder...far too many victims left to pick up the pieces of a shattered life these days alway remember the departed too soon- for what they left us, taught us, in the path of life to follow...Every murder is too many..."THE WAY TO A FRIENDS HOUSE IS NEVER FAR"!!
