Full story: Santa Fe New Mexican

Reform New Mexico Now, the political action committee headed by Gov. Susana Martinez's political director, Jay McCleskey, has launched a television ad urging voters to support legislative candidates who support Martinez's effort to repeal a 2003 law authorizing the state to issue driver's licenses to undocumented immigrants.

Ah Ha -- The "Genocidal" solution. Typical thinking for a bigot -- eliminate all those who don't look, think or act like youself. Pathetic excuse for a "citizen" under our Constitution! Might want to read the Supreme Court Cases concerning Resident Aliens and who that covers -- fool.

do not grant any more shamnesty and make life so rough on all illegal aliens they will leave on their own. how? be not being able to rent or own a place to live ,no help of any kind, and no jobs and remove them from what jobs they do have. just enforce the laws we already have and the problem will fix itself.
when their only choices are live under a bridge homeless and beg for food or go back to where they came from. after all it is not our fault they came, they fully made the choices themself.
anything else is a reward for breaking laws.no special anything for illegal aliens, they are a problem that should be paid for by their homelands no any other country.
Why not tear down the Statue of Liberty at the same time? Or at least, remove the poem "The New Colossus" from it.

See, back then, coming here legally was a snap, now it's *years* of red tape.

some how i don't think what we are seeing now was even thought of at the time it was written,if it was i bet it would have been worded alot different.

i don't think back then anyone came here expected to be breast fed as though who come here now do.

are you trying to compare legal immigrants with illegal aliens? either way at this time there is no need for either.

No, they expected to be able to make a better life. Which is what the *vast* majority are doing, if you take the time to look at the facts.

1st.-- I am usually in the "minority" and proud of it considering what the "majority" acts like and suggest, almost always protectionist and in violation of the Constitution.
2nd.-- I am not related to anyone you mention.
3rd.-- The logistics of your half-baked idea Of "round(ing)the all up" is more silly than practicle. Come up with a solution not some BS out of right field. Grant Amnesty and start anew on the enforcement aspect of the Law -- bigoted and hateful actions do no good, check history on that one.
4th.-- I have several friends in the Community who are either "illegal" or married/partnered with an "illegal." All productive, hard working, law abiding folks who are just trying to get ahead and raise a family. I have NEVER heard one of them spout the hatred and garbage you and others do here. I; therefore, have the opinion I would rather have them here than the likes of you and your bigoted friends.
#2 I am fully aware of that.

#4, those illegals you speak of working etc and being LAW ABIDING ? how so since they BROKE THE LAW COMING HERE ?

never mind the rest of your ****, no such thing as law abiding illegal.

Tell them to go back where they came from and apply, get a number and wait their turn like other legal immigrants do and did.

How about the part of illegal aliens? The Constitution does not ensure a spot for illegal aliens.

The new colossus was never official government policy. Years of red tape because too many are coming. We don't want the US to end up like the places these people are fleeing from.

And the rest are committing crimes and killing Americans. When it's illegal for any of them to be here. Why wait for them to commit a crime when it's already illegal for them to be here.

I see Colorado had the sense to kill the initiative to give illegals licenses too.

The Secure Driver's License Act is only a few months (1-15-2013) away from enforcement. That's going to put a real binder on you illegals.

Your first sentence is partially true.

Americans are electing idiots that for some unfathomable reason, are partial to coddling illegals.

Some claim the Republicans want cheap labor. Others claim the Democrats want more voters. As for the laborers, arrest records seem to indicate Democrats are as guilty as Republicans. As for the votes, in the instances of voter fraud by illegals, simple research shows Democrats are most guilty.

Frankly, considering the burden on the American tax payer, I fail to understand how any voter would support someone sympathetic to illegals. It just isn't in their own best interests. So, I guess that makes many Americans idiots.

Personally, my choice would be to put armed soldiers on the border with orders to shoot on sight anyone seen trying to sneak into the country. Let the bodies lay where they fall as deterrents to others.

Speaking of yourself again I see.

Do you truly believe all that money spent got the truth?

Can you find one ILLEGAL whose going to admit they are here illegally and have a drivers license and vote?

They know it is not legal but do it anyway and have enough friends and relatives to teach them how to beat the system.
