2 Anglo guys charged with this killing? Good lesson for angry racist posters from previous article. Open question: will it affect the way they address the next situation, or will they scapegoat those folks who don't look like them the next time too? Good opportunity for those Mexican-haters to look inward, at the real problem.

That's right ... this was another group of miscreants ... the bums. Two bums killing a third bum. Lock 'em up and run 'em out of town.

Where are all our angry racists today? Now that two Anglos have been charged with murder? Are they feeling just a little foolish today? Nope. Doubt it.

These two scumbags need to hang just like the rest. I could care less where they came from or what color they are. Simple fact - they killed someone, they need to pay the ultimate price.

I knew Chris as a friendly guy who never harmed anyone, always had a smile, who sometimes went a little overboard in his remarks to people.

He was boisterous, but mostly in a fun way. He carried a guitar and was always ready to belt out a tune whether he could play it or not. He knew more pop songs than I have forgotten.

Vaya con Dios, Chris.

2 anglos. 2 white men. 2 young white men.
2 anglo saxon. 2 europeans. As usual, the majority of murders are done by anglos. no matter what part of the country it is, Anglo's have htat record. Even in this city where there are many hispanics, Anglos hold the record.

George, are we talking about the same guy???
The one who harassed people for money, and then when they said no, he yelled and cussed at them? The one who was drunk every evening and harassed some of the buskers and others??? Gee, I'm gonna miss him.

Rather than running them out of town (perhaps to your house?), maybe we shoud run them into community based assistance and support. Why not focus on improving services that address the issues that contribute to homelessness. Or, instead of dehumanizing homeless people by calling them bums, consider that 25% of the US homeless population are veterans. Why don't you get some information rather than just spew out your ignorant nonsense.

How do know they are not men who served our country in on the wars you so enthusiastically support. As I see it your the miscreant. Your the cancer that inhabits our society. The one who uses up the air. These men are possibly veterans thrown aside by you. I'd like you to tell me what you think of the veteran's.

I love it!!! Thanks for an informed and humane response!!! What happened to helping others to help themselves?

In this "recession", soon we might all know homeless persons and families, up-close-and personal; yours or those you know; NOT "just" vets or those with drug, alcohol, or mental issues. SF familes have always reached out to one another, and lent a helping hand. In these tough times, it's even more important.

Fix the problem, not the blame!

GO plead your case to Coss. He is the ONE that PROMISED to end homelessness in this city within five years of taking office. Ask that mayor of ours where we stand on HIS five year plan. I would bet you a cool $$million he has done NOTHING to improve homelessness in this city except for the two murderers.....they will now have a home for the rest of their lives, thanks to us taxpayers.

Richard Eastman is Anglo? Looks Native American to me. And are you smoking crack. Anglos are close to, if not the majority, in this town. I can GUARANTEE that 90% of the crime is NOT committed by Anglos. I won't say what race or ethnicity is responsible for the 90% because I don't want to be called a racist.

are so right. I would love to hear and see what Coss has to done to end and help the homeless people in Santa Fe. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. He forgot he promised. Or he thought we citizens forget what he promised. Nope, no such luck Coss.

Quoted from the article...
"Both men were known to officers as members of the city's homeless community, he said. "

Exactly where is the "homeless community"? If they have a community, are they still "homeless"?

Isn't the phrase "homeless community" an oxymoron?
