While I never met or heard of Katherine until this story, I can see that this is a tremendous loss to Santa Fe and animal welfare. Thanks for writing such a nice story about her life and work. May she rest in peace.

We were so lucky to have known Katherine for the last several years, and will miss her dearly. Pepper (our dog) gets excited when we drive past the road to her house, in hopes that we're going to visit, and we'll always be grateful to have known and learned from her. We wouldn't be the pet owners -- or the people -- we are today if not for Katherine's example, and we're so glad to have known her.

While I did not know Katherine Bryce, I am always deeply touched and saddened by our pre-mature losses due to cancer. I too was born in 1950, and have lost three of my closest girlfriends to cancer. What this all about? I just finished reading The Breast STAYS Put, a very enlightening book on the subject. Blessings to all who struggle with trying to understand and do something about this phenomena.

How wonderful it has been to get to know all the friends and colleagues that Katherine had in Santa Fe and across the world.

As her family, it is gratifying to know she was loved and respected in her chosen professions. Her influence in training boards on the internet spanned the several continents... and her practical advice and no nonsense approach doesn't surprise those of us who knew her well.

Thank you, all of you who made her life rich and gave her purpose.

58 is just too young to die, but Katherine was able to realize a small portion of a life long dream, which is something to say the least. Those of us who are left behind can get some satisfaction from that knowledge.

I think of you every year Katherine. I miss you and it makes me a little sad to realize that I have become used to missing you.

I'll be starting a job on Monday, but I'll be thinking of you.

Your kids are beautiful... and the grand-kids are cherished. I hope we do you proud.
