Your problem is the "credible witnesses". There have been multiple instances of convictions being overturned on solid DNA evidence where there multiple "credible witnesses" to the crime. Eyewitness testimony is very shaky, period. When you add in the potential for the true perpetrator blaming someone else, co-conspirator being offered leniency if they testify, jailhouse snitches who may say anything, etc, etc, the credibility of your witnesses is very poor.Three credible witnesses to a malicious criminal act that takes the life of an innocent:

For those who want a return to vigilante justice, you really, really want to re-live the days of the KKK? A rumor of a crime being commited and a person suspected of doing it is killed? Count me out. I prefer criminal JUSTICE system, not a CRIMINAL system dispensing "justice".
