Season for cider

Full story: The Santa Fe New Mexican

Photo: Deeply flavorful apple cider has a rich history in the United States. Taking the place of wine in the frigid Northeast 200 years ago, cider was the standard, ubiquitous household drink for children and adults.

It is my understanding that honeybees are not native to North America but were brought here by early colonial settlers.

Great recipes! We harvested many apples from a friend's trees. Have already made four batches of apple butter, but your article gave me some new ideas.

Thanks!

Somehow the cup of milk got left out of the chicken recipe. I wonder where it gets added?

Cider is a truly human spirit

Are there apples in New Mexico?

Enough bees to keep them pollinated???

I have not had any pinion nut liquor yet... does it exist?
