Reactions to California Supreme Court gay marriage ruling

when i tell my grandchild " I love you, but I don't like your behavior" that is not judging, it is stating that their behavior is wrong but regardless of it I still love them. That is not being two faced. The same applies to the gays.

Not everyone's religious beliefs are the same, my religion condones homosexuality as perfectly natural, and will perform gay marriages. Laws are created to protect the rights of the minority, not the majority, and just because you or your religion thnk something is wrong, it doesn't mean you have the right to force those beliefs on the rest of the country.

Christ did not condemn the gay children he created, only certain sects cling to the oft-disputed interpretations that do.

The bible is the word of men, not God, and it is only as infallible as the men who passed down the verbal traditions, put them on paper, translated and re-translated them, and changed them for their own benefit.

The concept that the bible was God's literal word was not present at it's conception, and was "decided" later to still disputes over what stories were included.

No man knows all of God's words, and no book contains them. That's what faith is about.

Some so called christians cling to a faith that marginalizes others for traits the cannot change.

Some Christians follow what they believe to be Christ's message. His message for them was one of kindness, love, and peace.

So quest, I can assume you are not a Christian. I don't know many Christians that would agree with you that the references to homosexuality is disputed. You are right on one point Mand does not know all of God's words, only the ones he wants us to know that was written down those centuries ago.

Christ's message is one of kindness, love, and peace, however it is also living you life in the service of God, and not accepting or condoning sin (hate the sin love the sinner). If a sinner refuses to end his sinful ways, well then its time to let him go on his own way, and pray for him.
