"There was a lack of evidence to prove the people arrested were the same ones they warned the day before,"-how about, gee, I don't know...taking identification information and pictures of the people warned????

These cockroaches are breaking the law by loitering/trespassing, urinating in public-which in itself brings additional charges, not to mention possibly being in the country illegally. Valuable time and effort is wasted arresting these stains and now charges will NOT be filed?

No wonder nobody respects our laws or our country, for that matter.

"This issue is not about immigration," Bernabe said. "This is about the need to work and survive."

I guess any fool can decide to change our laws and the wording in our Constitution. If a citizen or a person who is here legally decides to do the same you know where he's/she's going... through that "Open 24 hrs" jail cell door.

I steer clear of that whole shopping center. This one and pretty much every other shopping center that has a home depot. I guess "no trespassing" signs are meaningless and I guess the residents that live near these home depot's don't mind the blight. I just feel sorry for the other businesses that suffer becasue of patrons who steer clear of the hassle.

Like everything else it all came down to money. They didn't want to spend the money, it would've drained the city dry. Think about it everybody would have to get a lawyer (paid for by taxpayers) have court time (paid for by taxpayers) and as always the race card would've been played (poor illeagals just want to work). Why wasn't ICE called and the illeagals turned over to them to be deported ? This sends another signal that you can break the law but don't worry because nothing will be done. Sad day for our state.

Like I've said before, if we don't enforce the laws, how can other laws be enforced with a straight face? Let me know when bank robbery is still illegal but "acceptable" and I'm all over it.

Put up a canopy and some benches, and a potapotty behind the garden center at Home Depot an area where the migrant workers would be at. that way you would feel safe as you enter that shopping center. don't like to go there because of all the people stareing at you and your property.

So why don't they get cited for soliciting business without a business license? Each laborer is acting as his own business in providing labor aren't they? A misdemeanor that does not require citizen arrests would be to easy for the Sheriff's Department and District Attorney. If they did have to have Business Licenses at least the City and County would benefit from the added revenue. Again, while the merchants pay their taxes to operate, the Laborers get a free ride from a liberal county and municipal government.

I live near this Home Depot, and shop there often. I witnessed a man urinating on the sidewalk near the gate once. Though I think that is unacceptable behavior, I also think these men are stuck. They don't want to leave the premises because someone needing laborers can drive up at any time and offer them work. Also if they began to use the rest rooms in the nearby establishments I'm sure the owners and managers would complain about that as well. I have also visited the Home Depot in the city of West Covina near the 10fwy. I noticed that the Home Depot there provides a canopy and benches for the laborers to sit on. I also saw that they had trash cans and a port-a-potty for them to use. I believe that would be a good idea for the Home Depot in Industry to consider.

All of you racist idiots make me sick. You're all a bunch of momma's boys that got everything handed to you and are quick to blur out your stupid opinion on topics you have no idea about. How about you take a good look at EVERYTHING around you and appreciate the fact that a mexican made it possible for it to get to you. The food you ate today, the clothes you wore, everything you touch is touched by a migrant worker first! You know, the ones that work their **** off at the jobs that you are too fragile to do. God forbid you actually get dirty. Immigrant workers do their job, file their taxes, and don't get a nice refund like you do. The government keeps it ALL and you and everyone else does nothing but complain.

Pay taxes - NOPE
Made my clothes - NOPE
Made most anything - NOPE (Thanks China!)

If they weren't in the country illegally and underbidding American labor that fought for and is subject to minimum wage laws, they wouldn't be doing anything at all. What part about "illegal" don't you understand?

Nice job spewing talking points, but your argument fails.

There are no jobs that Americans don't want to do. There are, however, plenty of jobs that American's won't do FOR SLAVE WAGES THAT ARE SIGNIFICANTLY BELOW MINIMUM WAGE.

Keep spouting your "humanitarian" BS if you feel you must, but understand that by not enforcing immigration laws, you and those that have your viewpoint are supporting the perpetuation of a serf/slave class which benefits corporations that don't want to pay Americans a fair wage. How does it feel to defend an illegal's right to be exploited?

Illegals shouldn't be here...illegally. If someone wants to emigrate here, then they should come legally; My parents did.

There's a need for day laborers. Home Depot should open a little office or area out of the way, maybe in the back of the store for the day laborers and the people who want to employ them. Note: You might be a redneck if... You've ever shot somebody over a mall parking space.
