This is really sad. How does a 3year old manage to stay in the car seat for 25hrs without getting out of it? Both of my kids knew how to get out of their seat early on way before three years old. One of my kids could not stand the car seat and kept unbuckling and I had to keep pulling over. Okay the boy slept, but must have been wondering when is Dad would reappear and come get him. Poor kid had a lot of patience and he was probably confused. Thank God the kid did not wander around in the street.

Despicable. Disgusting. Deplorable. The guys should be castrated so as not to become a father ever again!

Don't worry. If he is convicted, his 'cellie' will probably take care of that. People who abuse children are not very popular in prison.

When my kids were 3, I would panic if they were out of my sight for a minute. What kind of self-centered, immature parent could leave their child alone in a parked car for hours and forget all about him? Think of the emotions that poor 3 year old experienced for 25 hours alone in a car; it really makes me want to cry for this child.

This guy lost his right to raise children and be a father. Castration, imprisonment, beatings, and more are what this man deserves.

Fortunately - children like this are often very independent at a young age because they are often forgotten about and neglected. They develop a survival instinct at a young age and it is a good thing is this case because the child was able to deal with his circumstances and survive. This behavior (the childs) could develop into very good traits for him when he is an adult, but I agree with you - it is a shame that these children are put through this nonsense by irresponsible parents - who would prefer to drink and not take care of their children. The super sad part of this is if there aren't any responsible loving relatives willing to take care of these children - they will end up in the foster care system. That would be like jumping out of the hot pan into the fire - don't know which is worse - leaving them with abusive parents or putting them into the foster care system of mostly abusive parents. Heart breaking story...

Aw come on, every Christian Republican does it. Look at the Bush family. If the world didn't have drunken retards, we wouldn't have Republicans.

Genetics, unfortunately. The offspring of Republicans are just as phenomenally dimwitted and stupid as their Republican parents. It's why Christianity manages to survive, in fact.

hmm.. hispanics are primarily Catholic (a Christian religion), yet tend to vote Democratic.

I knew a girl once, who when I asked if she was a christian replied, "No. I'm catholic." I just stared at here with a blank expression of disappointment on my face.

She should have also replied "I'm ignorant."

just so that there is no confusion.. the "yes, I'm Jewish" would have been an equally ignorant response as the "no, I'm Catholic" to the "are you Christian?" question.

There is nothing alleged about this man being a bad Dad.He is a bad Dad as he is showing all the signs of an alcoholic. His wife should divorce this drunk and make sure that her son stays the heck away from him. This could have turned into a funeral for another innocent child due to neglect and endangerment.
