Gang Warfare Enroute to San Mateo County

Sheriff Munks and our city's law enforcement officers are creating a climate for gang warfare to spread further into San Mateo County. We have had a series of countywide single murders beyond the previous pale including a triple murder that is purported to be gang related. Other suspects arrested claim gang associations with Norteņos or Sureņos . It doesn't take a murder to know that there is also gang or turf related assaults in Fair Oaks and Redwood City or north county. Even the tagging is spelling out an intent by gangs to take the neighborhood out of the control of its resident.

A number of years ago, the Salinas Valley experienced wide spread gang warfare between the Nuestra Familia and the Mexican Mafia with a large number of deaths, injuries and intimidation to its residents! This restructuring of criminal gang was to expand instrumental criminal activity -- activities that focus not just on turf, but to support gang membership and improve their economic welfare.

The recent killing of a "major figure in the Norteņo street gang, Armando Jose Rodriguez, 32, in San Francisco signals a new development in reordering gang activity. The Norteņos, or northerners, are based in Northern California and have ties to the Nuestra Familia prison gang. Their main rivals, the Sureņos, or southerners, were originally based in Southern California and grew out of another prison gang, the Mexican Mafia."

By extension, "The president of the San Francisco chapter of the Hell's Angels, Mark Guardado, 45, was shot and killed in the city's Mission district." The alleged suspect is a rival member of the Mongols motorcycle club. I see this as another signals to reorder local criminal gang activity and not a personal vendetta.

These crimes are a signal to the public and our county law enforcement agencies. We cannot let any gang activities go unanswered and law enforcement authorities must be more proactive in gang suppression activities including sweeps, notifications and arrests. Gang members that are illegal immigrants need to be turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement Officers regardless of behavior.

There is a lack of community cooperation for a variety of reasons including: fear and lack of personal application of universal ethics and values often "turns" on simple disagreements, understood as personal disrespect into criminal activity. There is also a high level of disrespect for our county's immigration laws.

It is time for major initiatives by law enforcement and the public to curb criminal activity even if that affect anyone that thinks this is targeting or profiling their nationality or ethnicity when it is about really about projecting our laws and maintaining order before it becomes unmanageable.

While your at it sweep up gang members and Section 8 housing violators who are harboring parolees...! It is time for welfare checks.

gang warfare is already in redwood city. It just does not make the news as much anymore as the RC city council put out a hush order.

I agree with Jack Let's put all law enforcement under one totalitarian regime and we can begin to insert chips and tags into the population. It's the only way to be safe. Let's raise our taxes and borrow money from China and Saudia Arabia to pay for it, too.

That is a thought to build upon!

The Feds could rent out the Port of Redwood City, use "docktown" as a embarkation site for illegal immigrants; the city could use the extra funding to finish its downtown renovation, and hold an auction on selling the city's high tech parking meters.

Maybe then the city council could get back to business, have the foresight to find the stored user friendly meters and personally reset them in concrete!

The public would then place on the ballot a Measure that would implanted personalized GPS chip on the opposite shoulder of their "personal attitude block" to supporting and defending the Constitution of the United States and California and see that our laws are obeyed -- it is time to suppress our gangs, remove our illegal immigrants and fine our employers for hiring illegal immigrants.

If the FED's took it over it would be under the direction of the CIA and they would have no interest in the down town and meters... they have more serious situations to deal with and would be more focused on Terroist, WMD, Drugs, Arms and People Taficking
