Deputy shoots, kills burglary suspect in Azusa

Sheriff's officials say a deputy shot and killed a burglary suspect who pulled a knife on him in Azusa.

Rockvale street is a huge **** HOLE, full of thugs and drugs and slugs. I heard "Mike", an alleged "witness" (with the typical gansta speech impediment), on KFWB this morning, claiming this low life was shot in the back. Who cares? Maybe he shouldn't have turned around to run the moment that Deputy fired his gun. And if he was just burgin' cars,he carried that knife attack someone who may have tried to stop him. No tears here. Punk got what he deserved. Just waiting for the "Mijo was a good boy" BS from the family for the Trib to print.'Mijo" was more than likely a career criminal who just got his ticket punched. End of story.

Earth to moron...earth to moron....law enforcement are primarily taught to shoot to kill since the chances of a wounded suspect returning fire and killing an officer or civilian are high. Do this---YOU go point a gun at a cop, but ask him to please shoot you in the leg, and see if he/she complies with your absurd request, OK? Most thugs don't shoot their victims in the leg as they are usually such poor shots that they aim for the head or mid-section (easy targets), so why should law enforcement be expected to "shoot to wound" an armed criminal? Ridiculous.

OMG someone always says this. "He could of shot him in the leg" etc. People are so ignorant about firearms they don't realize how difficult it is to even hit a criminal using a handgun under stressful conditions, let alone try to target some less deadly part of his body like arm or leg. Anytime you hear where a banger got shot in the arm or leg, it's because the cop MISSED where he was really trying to hit. You shoot to stop, and arm or leg don't cut it even if you were so good you could hit them there.

Thank you, finally someone who see's it my way... If he didn't get hurt someone else would have with that knife he was carrying to intentionally injure whoever came in his path... Good job Officer... I'm sure he was going somewhere with his life, trying to change it around, and wasn't even involved in gangs...YEAH RIGHT!!! Good riddens..

Some people are really dumb....
They watch too mutch tv-- like shooting a gun out of someones hand....
In cases like this-- that is way too hard.
You aim for the torso the biggest area- and you shoot to stop...
Like they said- if they hit an arm or leg--- they missed-
Shooting a weapon at a moving target is hard.
Even harder when the person holding the weapon is also moving.
