i fondly call him "josh" or juding".I was still back in the Phils. when he was born and learned his condition. He took a soft spot in my heart without seeing or touching him. When i came here i had a chance to be with him and as expected he became more dear to me.Yes ...he's a special Child...not because of his condition but this kid has touched my life with his eager but innocent stare and warmth hugs everytime we see each other.I know at his young age he would grow up into a very smart(he could always outwit with his blunt but genuine words...)and a very brave boy.I just wish i could afford to spend more time with him. He's special simply because...i love him.

I'm one of the Make-A-Wish volunteers who met with Joshua to find out about his wish and make it come true. Thank you for pointing out wishs are granted to children with life-threatening, not necessary terminal, medical conditions. Anyone can nominate a child for a wish.

As a follow up to this story, I want to mention the family had a fantastic time on the cruise. His favorite part of the trip was running around with the Disney characters, and he received a special invitation to meet Captain Mickey. During shore leave, he went snorkeling, biking and rode a banana boat.

Thanks to everyone who supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation!

I am so happy to see my godson Josh going to this cruise. It is really a dream come true for him. Josh will always have a special place in our hearts and will be in our prayers all the time.
May our Lord continue to bless the Miranda's family. I know that Josh's loving parents will continue to give him the strength and courage to face the current medical condition he has.
Thanks a lot for the whole news group for writing this article.

All that said, Richard deserves the credit for taking care of Josh. He has done so much for this child. I have all the respect for him. More strength for him.
Make A Wish foundation has made so many children's dreams come true. I hope they get more support so they can continue their cause. I can't thank them enough for making Joshua and other children happy.

Iam an old family friend of the miranda who live in the east cost. I knew the miranda's before joshua was concieved. They wanted another baby after a long time and there is Joshua, from the beginning Joshua is already a joy in the house and around friends he is a clown inspite of his condition he is a high spirited child and he is always smiling eventhough he itched, now that I'm a mother I can't avoid crying everytime I hear something not good about him. because as a mother you wanted your child to be healthy and I feel the pain of his parents to see your child suffering but there's nothing you can really do but to leave it all up to GOD, in my memory he is a happy child that everybody loves, and I am very happy to know when his mother told me that he was selected to go to a disney cruise with the whole family by the "Make A Wish Foundation" he realy deserved it thank you very much for all the people that make joshua's wish come true. God Bless You All!

Just read the article today. Thanks Kitty for sharing. Although I haven't met Josh in person I can feel his aura and yes he must be truly a very special kid in that sense. He seems to have a very sweet & joyous character and gives so much joy to the family judging by the pictures. God Bless all and stay a loving family!
Salute to the parents!!!
