Two families will be forever change by this tragedy. Speculations, accusations, and bashing Taylor’s character and family serves no purpose. How many boys or girls for that matter can you remember getting into fights as teenagers? I remember witnessing plenty of stupid fights over ridiculous things that resulted in black eyes, bruised bodies, and egos. Taylor is no different then some of those kids you knew and loved; they weren’t bad kids, they made bad choices as did Taylor, I don’t think anyone will try to deny that, the only difference is they were luckier, they didn’t ACCIDENTLY cause a death. The anguish that Taylor feels over the result of his actions is immeasurable. He does “get it”, and he is remorseful for the pain he has inflicted on Anthony’s family as well as his own. It was a horrible, horrible thing that happened but crucifying a young man for it does not change the outcome, it only creates more fuel that could possibly result in more fighting. It was said that Anthony was a peace maker, let’s learn from his example, let’s try not to make judgments, or take sides, there is no winner here.

It doesn't matter if he was drinking or not! And the jury and judge that let the murderer slide with a 4 year sentence need their asses kicked!

A terrible thing happened. As a friend of both families, I can assure you all that both are devastated. Apologies have been made, and many will live with great regret. If this is karma, it is a huge dose.
My question focuses on the culpability of the Giants or Amtrack. The train is more like a booze cruise than a commute train. The fight happened at 9:45 PM. I am sure all the kids had alcohol in their systems. Are they buying it in the park? Are they able to sneak it in? Kids can't drink at 18 because they are not old enough to understand the consequences. We need to take a shared responsibility for all our youth. This is a terrible tragedy. A great kid is gone forever.

okay I can understand the teenage comments on this site, but I don't understand the adult comments. Please think about what it must be like to be a kid raised by parents you claim are "part time" parents. Think about what it might be like to be raised in a house where your mom "threatens" another mom. This is a horrible tragedy. The Giraudo's deserve everyones sympathy. But privledge does not equal a good home. This kid and yes he is a kid reacted the only way he knew how. No one is trying to minimize this tragedy. Just try to think what it might be like to be raised in a house where your parents aren't teaching you responsibility and respect. I am sorry for all involved, but all these nasty comments prove is that we are all a very angry society.

What does that have to do with anything. He walked away and was stuck from the back by a obviously screwed up kid. He did not want a fight. We tell our kids to walk away...then a kid like this comes along and cowardly puches when he's not EVEN looking. There is no pity for him here. A man faces another man. He deserves to be put away for longer. He can have time to reflect on his unguided life. Parenting is not a sport. It is hard and sometimes we don't like it, but when you treat every bad thing your kid does as, "OH WELL, it's just a phase", this is what will happen, drugs, sex and out of control behavior. Appologize Publicly.

RWC parents it does matter you all contribute to the under age drinking of these boys. I know for a fact that the night of the funeral you parents hosted a beer pong game at your home and let all the boys drink and celebrate the life of Anthony. How can you teach these young people anything when you let them drink at your homes? Fathers drinking beer and play beer pong right along side of them, and have it all over your kids Facebook or MySpace?? What is the matter with you parents encouraging this and you've been doing this for years. Why is the RWC police not investigating these parties where parents are buying and providing the beer?? If you allow this behavior in your home and accept it, how can you expect your kids to go out to a Giants game on the train and not drink and think it's OK cause you've taught them this in your own home. Does it take something like this to make you all realize under age drinking is wrong and to support it leads to great problems later in life...

Does anybody know how he is being treated at school? It wouldn't surprise me if he's being looked at as a big man on campus. Let's hope not.

He took a persons life and he'll think twice before hitting or mouthing off to anyone again. This is one time his parent can't clean up his mess for him. Do not forget he killed someone? This was no accident. This could have been my child that night at the game. Lock this problem child up. This kid has been a trouble maker in the schools and in San Carlos for years. Very poor parenting. Parents seem to think injuring ohters and being out of control is just fine for their "baby boy". How in the world, when one family is grieving the senseless death of their son, about two weeks later, Taylor Buckley is attending graduation ceremonies at Carlmont High School, and his parents have the nerve to let their baby attend Grad night. These should be privleges for those who have earned them. The parents are as much at fault.

Taylor Buckley is a b*tch and will be f*cked with for the rest of his life. Anthony has easily over 100 friends and most of them are as stubborn as me and want revenge. he is going to be let off to easy

I don't know that one young man is a b*tch or not. I do know those both were idiots, regardless of the friends contest. That's super that you are stubborn. I can tell you're going far.
