Are you kidding me? Isn't that the same guy that got fired a while back for sexual harassment? The city had to take him back cause they made a mistake in how they fired him, not cause he didn't do it.

I'll bet he did do it too. He got fired from the Mt.View Police for sexual harassment. Then he got hired over there. Doesn't their chief check all this out first?

I thought this dude said he was going to change the image of that place. Yeah right. Same ol BS. Doesn't the city manager or the council look at any of this before it happens? They need to get rid of everyone in charge and start over.

I don't know what REALLY went on in the past but this Chief is probably doing what he was hired to do. The comments "the same guy" and "this dude" certainly come from those that have no idea of those past circumstances and are commenting on issues that they don't know anything about other then what they read. the chief IS doing something. he demoted those 3 lieutenants to begin to do what needs to be done for epa.

"The chief said he suspects that much of the complaining may be coming from those officers." Chief is right. Those guys did a lot of dirt to people and now they're paying for it." Posted under a different forum but I agree. Get with it people.

I have more than an idea. Check out the facts. Do a little research. Don't take my word for it. I've been to the city council meetings and have kept up with the facts. These comment blogs should only be for people to get any idea about others feelings on a topic. Everyone should look into things that concern them and see the facts for themselves.

What dirt did these guys do? And, how would you know? The real dirt was the things Chalmers did. You shouldn't make statements unless you actually know something.

Hey mr Good,

I just wondering if EPA has any kind of program where the community can be part of Policing the community along with P.D. I know here in Seattle we do have programs call Community Police Academy and Out Reach Program. These kind of programs is for any citizen of the community can be part of working with the P.D on daily bases to over seen how P.O conducting them selves internal and external. I know with this program in place here it really change the face of this city compared 10 to 15 years ago. So I don't if this information would help or not, just want to pass it through.

I posted a message about the police department and it wasn't posted. I think it was too strong against the chief and was censored. I am so determined to get this message out I am reposting it AGAIN!

What I said was I am shocked that the EPA police chief would point fingers at anyone in his command in the news. How ugly is that?

First, before he goes off and points fingers why doesn't he look internal to solve the problem of the officers and the new appointments?

What does the chief pointing fingers of long-term command staff who will probably outlast the chief do except further decrease morale?

Why can't this guy shut up? I have never seen any chief in the news so much screaming crime is down, oh no there's a crime wave, but then sends a letter to the community crime is down overall. Is it up or down?

Look I'm a fan of the EPA PD and of the chief, but this guy needs to take a leadership role and stop sending out new mission calls "operation impact" operation this and that, its obvious there is a serious crime problem in EPA and with this internal disrepsect there is a serious problem in the EPAPD who can't win the war like this divided.

No manager should ever be in the papers pointing fingers at staff who have worked here successfully many years before he came, he claims is against his reform, what reform all I see is apathy and too few officers.

EPAPD is so short staff, and those who do work hardly work if you know what I mean. No police cars patrol they lay low until shift ends and then take their overtime and go home. I think if they were happier they would work harder.

Does the chief want the rest to walk out? I say this will all be on the taxpayers. Managers who treated staff bad get sued, the city pays, staff who are treated bad treat citizens and other staff bad, people sue and the city pays - no matter the taxpayer pays.

What will this mandatory overtime cost the city? The city pays.

Lesson learned folks, we need to clean house and its starts with Nov 2008 elections - remember to vote and when you vote remember to snap some of those staff members out of there who allow this kind of degradation of the city. Just look at ciy council meetings! Its ashame.

You don't belong here. You're an idiot. You can't spell or express yourself. By the way, the computer automatically (that means does it on it's own) picks a random location to put next to your name. Mine happened to be Bakersfield. You might want to find a section that actually has something to do with what you're talking about. This section has to do with the article in the paper listed above. Hope this helps.

I have to agree with EPA Citizen votes comment on the chief's "finger pointing". That is incredibly unprofessional and shows that he is insecure in his decision. With a leader like that it's not surprising so many officers have left since he started. How many more are we going to loose? What's he going to do then? Davis is obviously all about Davis, not EPAPD. Media HOG. There's no I in TEAM chief, get over yourself.
