Not every cop is going to be an upsatnding citizen as this story points out.You are always going to get bad cops no matter how well you check their back grounds.I'm sure they catch 90% of the bad ones before they get to far,but like this one some slip by and give the rest a black eye.

The age of surveillance is only just begining and it has caused massive issues. Civilians have been suffering much longer than cops in this new age. I would bet you my life of wages that if cameras followed police around for all of their interactions both professionally and in a social life, over half of them would be doing time in prison. To many of these people have destroyed other peoples lives over questionable laws enacted and enforced to keep a criminal elite in power. The criminal elite can even be caught up in the same system enacted. But they remain wealthy. The local reichstag counties confiscate to much money from people who make mistakes. The process of making men into criminals for non violent drug use is as evil as it is going to get. When the "money" dries up, the evil that passes for law will see the bloom of flowers they germinated. But if you go to a local jail as a potential jury member, some perky judge will tell you by television how much of a important job you are doing for freedom....Bwahahhaaa...what a joke..I respect the law so much. But I see the demise of something that will end after much suffering is incurred in this once teflon buffed nation. Right now, massive inflation is decimating the lower income classes. Hyper inflation will follow. Then deflation will strike with a vengeance. I do not know the timetable. I do not know how it will take place. But I do know that is the way of world history.

The vast majority of cops are crooked and on the take. There are, of course, decent honest cops. But they are a minority, and are scared, for very good reasons, of all the crooked ones. There is an old movie called "Serpico" that gives you an accurate view of the police department.
The main difference between honest cops and crooked ones is that honest cops usually retire poor. Crooked ones usually retire rich.
