Was the applause for the affair? The secret lovechild? The DWI?

The betrayal and humiliation felt by his wife and children?

What were the conservatives applauding exactly?

Just curious.

Huh? What Kennedy? This isn't about a Kennedy.

This Focaccia (ok Fossella) is an arognat A $$. Wonder if his wife has packed his bags and sent them to his mistress.

So tell me...why is (a) Kennedy mixed up in this one!???

If his name was Kennedy and he lived in Mass. he would be nominated for president or at least have a lifetime job in Congress.

and his party "applauded" him - need I say anymore about the lowlifes that follow these politicians so they can feed at the trough too when their "guy" gets in? I would have loved to be involved in some sort of politican affiliation and effort but because of the lowlife mentality of how they justifu ANYTHING, I just can't associate with it. Sad.

Amazing said it all! Anything goes-it's his personal life-it doesn't conflict with his public life-WHAT? Vito is just another example of the dumbing down of our morality in this country. There is now an alibi for virtually everything. O.J. says "If Nicole didn't come to the door with a knife, she'd be alive today". If Nicole didn't keep banging into Simpson's knife with her neck, she'd still be here. That's a plausible defense today, don't you think? We are doomed!

The Conservative Party in New York, unfortunately, has now become the red-headed stepchild of the Republican Party. Look at Gingrich-draft-dodger who had his first wife sign divorce papers while she was on her deathbed. He left his 2nd wife because he was banging his secretary on his Speaker's desk and he is now "married" to that pig. He has a new book out and the title actually contains the name God. I'm sure that it is a best seller. We are doomed! Explain the difference between Gingrich and Dehr Slichmeister-Slick Willy. At least The Slickster made no bones about the fact that he was a dirtbag. And I'm a lifelong Republican!

People like Fossella - who always seem to gravitate to politics - are shameless. Vote the bum out!

You forgot the DWI, which is even worse than his other transgressions, since it could have had an impact - literally - on your life.

As a life-long Republican (though nor from Staten Island; I'm from Kings Park, Long Island) if Fossella does not resign, or if our party does not QUICKLY give him the boot, then I will totally boycott all Republican candidates this year. That will be MY way of protesting the Republican's refusal to clean house.

It's bad enough when some Democrats allow some fellow Democrats to break moral and civil laws with impunity (it seems to be a party emblem with the Dems). But if the Republicans allow themselves to get away with the same kind of cesspool behavior, then they deserve the same kind of response at the polls. My "NO" vote will be MY answer to Peter King's pathetic excuse-making for his fallen-friend Fossella.

Enough already!

Republican, Democrat - they're all the same. The sad part of it is, the only ones that make the news are the "bad" Republicans, due to our fabulous (Democratic/Liberal) media. And the people are gullible enough to believe only what they read. Time to make it fair, don't you think????

Oh Please stop with the cry baby act everytime a repuke gets nabbed in an imoral exploit. Their Motto is Family Values so of course when one gets nabbed papers focus on the hypocracy.
But really who is the republican party for? The poor? Middle Class? Upper Middle Class? Nope they cow tow to 2% of the population. The corporate powers that be. Funny how the middle class and blue collar workers buy this Trickle down theory. The only thing that is Trickling is whats going up where the sun don't shine...And that goes for the Dems too.... 3rd Party? there are alternative Party's..Populist Party etc. But the Republicans had a chance to renew faith in their values of small government States Rights and non interference with the individual. But Ron Paul wouldn't cow tow to the Corp Powers now would he?....
