For once we agree, you're slow.it never even occured to me that they put it in the amendment itself. what a joke i am.
a woman or black couldn' vote then, and i really wish they had no rights, so the idea that the right to "bear arms" (stupid wording because i have bear feet) is universal is a joke is my logic is shaky is now.
it really had nothing to do with facts, it had to do with my lack of self control militias? i don't get it?
man, am i slow.

It's about time you finally fessed up and told the turth. Congratulations, I didn't think you had it in you. |

thank You for mentioning this, most Sheeple are completely ignorant of this. As far as open-carry of firearms...I say go for it,( but KNOW Your laws!) in fact most law enforcement officers actually don't even know the laws pertaining to this in their City/County/State. I don't trust My local PD with protecting Me, or My Family. |

Finally, you got thato ff your chest. Let the healing begin! |

Do you have a mouse in your drawers mojigato or is that the 'royal' we? Just curious, why would it matter if I am male or female , prefer males or females or if I am a man or woman or if I prefer a man or a woman? After all mojigato, as you said...does it matter what I post here? btw- I prefer the castillian - that arrogance and sanctimoniousness all rolled up together in one. There just isn't a good English word to replace it is there? I cannot answer to your prudishness...hasn't been an issue...o wait I take that back...you do seem to think that a person's gender or sexual orientation is germane to the discussion at hand. So maybe you are a prude as well. |

I would have left any restaurant with a customer with a gun. In fact I would like to move to a country with stiffer gun laws.

As do I. Thank you for your service. |

Once again, a simple test with a simple answer. You have to spend one night in jail. You are given your choice of two jail cells. Each has two beds. Cell #1- The other bed is occupied by a 300lb., murderer/rapist with no gender preferences. Cell #2- The other bed contains fully automatic, fully loaded, terrible firearms. Real assault rifles, semi-auto pistols and large caliber revolvers. Every anti-gunner's worst nightmare of an arsenal. Where you gonna bunk, ace? |

Not if the criminals don't want you to leave. You have the freedom and no one is stopping you. |

Isn't it a scary thought for you that you probably already have been dining next to someone who carries a gun? O my stars how ever did you live through it!? Maybe you shopped right be side me at the local supermarket. AND YOU WERE RIGHT THERE...unharmed..imagine that. My gun hasn't attacked anyone in the years I have carried it. It is a legally carry concealed weapon. You think you have never been near a criminal with intent to do harm to you? Think again. Which would you really rather be closer to? |

1 I don't know about laws..but definitely for you a stiffer something - I guarantee that leaving anywhere with 'a customer with a gun'-you are the victim there. Watch what you wish for! |

So long as you are in public I agree with you. But, even though privately owned businesses grant public access to patrons they are still legally allowed to set rules of conduct within their establishment. And that includes telling armed people that they are not welcome. If a business says that guns are not welcome and someone enters with a gun then that business has a legal right to refuse service and ask those people to leave. If those people refuse then the police can be called in and remove those people. |
Well, enough people owned and used weapons to beat the hell out of the British, the most powerful military on Earth at that time... |
|
Hat tip, SAM!! |

Well, now that guns are essentially BANNED in NYC, and the crime rate has leveled off, how do you get at the rest of the crime that continues to happen? You can't ban guns more than banned, so what's left? The Constitution is the document in which the People tell the Government what it is allowed to do (and not allowed to do). It is not a source for the People's rights. If it did not exist, the people would not have zero rights. We did not wait for its ratification before we felt we had those rights. You (as is typical) have it all backward and upside-down. And where "it says militias," it says that because militias are necessary to the security of freedom, the right of the people to keep and bear arms is to be protected from infringement. The framers were saying that because there are reasons (and listed one) why it's good to have an armed populace, the government is not to be allowed to infringe on the right of the citizens to have guns and to bear them. |
