God yes. But you know the Dems, they'll worry about the decrease in tax revenue, and since they're the majority they'll strike it down.

The dirty secret is the ones profiting the most through all of these higher gas prices are the politicians.

Afterall, they put no capital at risk to explore for oil or produce gasoline. They simply get an exorbitant amount of money for doing nothing but worsening the problem by insisting on a multitude of gasoline blends, ethanol subsidiess, and then prohibiting known reserves from exploration, compounded by the fact that they have made it virtually impossible to build ne refineries. Then, on top of it, they add all sorts of taxes.

The politicians have the biggest rackett going.

These legislators better start doing SOMETHING. The foot is on everyone's neck - between food, gasoline and even BEER - the red-blooded American populous will only take so long before they start doing whatever they need to do to take their standard of living back to a comfortable zone.

32 cents is nothing, bring the price back down to about 2 dollars a gallon where it belongs.

charge an extra surcharge at the stations for people who drive SUVs, vans, etc, and leave the rest of us normal sized car drivers alone. we did not create this gas problem by supply and demand.

Vans, trucks....Do that and see how much items in your local stores go up. See how much it costs to call a repairman or contractor to have work done on your house. Bet you didnt think of that did you.

The idiot plan rewards the owners of Gas and passes the cost onto those who conserve.

This is stupidity could only have been dreamed up by the Detroit Automakers who regrettably control both Albany and DC1

Good of you to show us all how all you environmentalist are just plain ole gas bags. All that spouting about using less gas, polluting less, et al is just so much green house hot air, hey? The price is up - IT'S A GOOD THING. This forces people to conserve.

Now, for once, can you scums actually do as you preach?
