SCUMBAG IN VAN!! please people, start looking out for motorcycles. geez. mos the time the biker is doing nothing wrong. its idiots on 4 wheels not opening their eyes.

and i dont even ride a bike. i just know to look out for fellow motorists.

When I ride with my club I am whats called a road captin. We plan the routes and maintain the formations. Like I said in previous posts over the summer 18 of us road from Long Island to NC barely touching a highway. I covered 2475 miles in 9 days with 3 days being off the saddle(bike seat).
Not one of us had a problem not one of us had a close call because when we ride we are ontop of everything around us so there is no suprise. Your mind still gets to clear, you still get to take in the fresh air and you safely experience the country in a way only one who has ridden can truely understand.

Fresh air until you get behind one of those chicken trucks! I did that ride 2 years ago. Its a nice ride. What is that, Route 1 that runs down that way? If so, rode that for a while, also jumped over to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, hit some of those back woods eating joints. Good times!

starting spots change from where are heading but mainly off 111 and the lie if we head out east and off of south oyster bay if we are heading upstate. We do a long distance trip in the summer ie sturgis, deals gap, this year its up to canada. and have tons of pop up week night runs too.

While I don't agree with the guy who wants to open the door & hit somebody, I'd have to say that if that was to happen, the bike would stop short but the rider would keep going, causing some serious injury when the rider finally did come to a stop. So I don't think that rider would be in any condition to kick anybody's butt in at that point. Besides, you're a Harley rider. Harley guys don't do stupid stuff like that. Not a problem, totally understand. maybe wwe'll run into eachother some day, but it WONT be heading to sturgis. I'm afraid my days of doing a run that long are past me

Maybe NEWSDAY spelled the name wrong...Newsday always leaves something out including parts of a story...typos are part of that!
