i love sue. she's the best in the business, and that's why she's been at wnbc for the better part of 3 decades. i'm confident that it was not her fault, and someone elses error. i truly hope that she will not be held responsible for someone elses action. dave lettermen agrees as well.***sue, we love ya***
although I too like Sue Simmons and think this is ridiculous, people do make mistakes, this is the dumbest comment. how is it someone else's error? she made the comment. how is she being held responsible for someone else's error. again, she made the comment. think before you speak you moron.

Yet you're sitting on the computer, reading comments about a girl saying a curse word. Why don't YOU get out and experience life? Moron.

Ok, now it's the republicans fault. Next you'll be saying that they used a mind control machine to force her to say the F word.

No, it was Al Gore's fault because he invented the word.

Why do we think people in the public eye are any different from the average joes who caught her little slip that night? She's human, and she unfortunately got caught on a 'hot' mike. Happens all the time. I was a little startled but LMAO when it happened and said sort of the same thing she did, lol.

If anything, it's the technicians or the director who should take the heat. Her mike was clearly on for quite a few seconds longer than usual as the ship footage was run. However,I don't think anyone should be fired over it. That's a little harsh.

I find it a little silly that people don't think newscasters or anybody on TV doesn't have little hissy fits and such here and there. These are not robots. Our own President has been known to blunder in such a manner on occasion (some might argue a little too occasionally..)

Just to lighten it up a bit--picture Katie Couric or even bobble-head Rachel Ray losing it for a minute...I'm quite sure it happens. Must be funny as all H-e-l-l :-))

I'd LOVE to know what George Carlin would say about this...
