OH...I thought this was about the creep from LONG Beach that took money for a home repair and did not do it...leaving the house in shambles...he is a resident of LONG BEACH along with his parents that hide his money so he does not have to pay my friend back for destroying her home...which to this day still lives like this because he took her money ...all of it...Law can't touch him...he claims he has no assets..but he has a kid...guess mommy and daddy are supporting them both...SO if you live in LONG BEACH, you probably know this jerk and his parents too....hope they don't **** .....and to this moran.....when mommy and daddy are not around who is going to wipe your **** then.

Another contractor to avoid is M. Adamo Designs and Renovations from Long Beach. When Matt Adamo claims to do it all, means he is operating illegally under other tradesman licenses....so watch out. Make sure you get a licensed Master Plumber and a Master Electrician and pay them separately, over his objections. Give this GC control of your home and money and you might live to regret it.

He claims he never had a complaint against him in 25 years. Check NC Consumer Affairs on him, this is not true he has had complaints in the recent 3 years. Matthew Adamo extorted money from me and threatened to file and foreclose a mechanic's lien for $42,000, when he was owed $1,970. Why did he take such extreme measures....I asked him to fix his defective work and to complete his project which he was paid a lot of money to do. He will tell you he only works on large expensive homes, mcmansions and is doing you a favor. He presents well, that is until he gets a hold of a lot of your money.

His license was suspended at the time of his threats, based on an unpaid consumer judgement. The only reason why he has his license back today is because a NC ADA wouldn't change 2 words and 1/2 sentence on a deposition, right CB, otherwise he would have been arrested for contractor fraud. SHAME ON BOTH OF THEM.

Also, Adamo deposits his client's money into his personal, not a corporate escrow account, which is against the law. He is required to deposit your money into an escrow account, no matter what he puts in writing to you. He is supposed to tell you where his escrow account is maintained and the details.

It doesn't take much brain power to figure out why Adamo breaks to the law, because he can and does gets away with it. If he victimizes other homeowners, which he can't help, you can thank the NC DA's office for his conduct and your loss.

PS Make sure M. Adamo proves he has Workers Compensation which covers all his EMPLOYEES, oh and they are his EMPLOYEES, including Liability insurance which names you on the policy. G_d forbid, something goes wrong you could be held liable. That is the procedure and the Law for all contractors.
