Very intelligent and well thought out proposal. I have always voted for Tom, even though I am a Republican, because he uses common sense. The Crosby St. BRT project does nothing for downtown but bring more underage people closer to the Ives St. bars. Downtown needs to have the original project on Kennedy Ave. to be followed through with in order to try and stimulate the area. It really looks like a third world country down there.

I don't agree with the original plan for Kennedy Ave. I believe it will turn into a drug infested crime haven.
As far as Toms plan, I'm glad to see somebody is thinking about the taxpayers for a change. Maybe it would be a good idea for Tom to toss his hat into the Mayors race next time around.

I think they should carpet bomb Elm street and rebuild the whole area into a New Orleans type restaurant and cafe area and as long as they're bombing take out new st., spring st. and stevens st. too. The whole area is an above ground sewer.

I think it's funny that BOUGHTon agree with Saadi when it was the mayor who defended giving BRT the tax break during his last campaign.

Nobody saw this coming.

Boughton gives BRT a 7 year tax break at the height of the market for a 500+ condo proposal when he's pushing through 4000 new condos being built throughout Danbury. Halfway into the 7 year tax break, after the real estate market collapses under it's own weight and BRT has nary a shovel in the ground, they change plans and are now looking team up with Avalon to build apartments presumably.

I thought this break was going to be for condo owners Mark? What condo owners?

People who still support this crook are really mentally challenged.

Hope you enjoy your higher taxes. Just realize you're paying more because BRT and other pals of Mark Boughton are paying less. Suckers.

If you have ever lived in a BRT apartment you know they did not buy anything from the Mayors Wife. They are straight Home Cheapo.

The BRT bldg. is empty..I walked past it a couple of days ago..and the website that offers its accomodations is a little confusing to navigate..I think that simple REAL TIME Photo's would be a more advantagious thought..instead of some line drawings that appear-confusing-the building itself seems very nice though..I did watch as it was being built..it had some old looking architechual design running--somewhat like what the USSR did in the 1960's...but it looks nicer than what the Soviet Union was building..Tax Incentives..might show a less than realistic view of Danbury..BRT seems to have mustered some good stuff..WHO's too follow??../there's a beautiful BLDG. out on Lake AVE..just near I-84..last I travelled that BUS Route it also was vacant..except for a tender few cars..Danbury at times looks like a Contruction Co. playgound..it ain't much about people though..again..Tax Incentives seem like a stick in the mud(or)a less than realistic dream..How does a bldg. come 360-degrees around..Value/..I would quess if you continue to prove VALUE does not excist all the time talking politics..your real estate "crumbles" far below expectations..and that just about is hard to TWEAK.
