Not even if he wanted to. The Hyde Amendment is real, your fear mongering is not.

quote from Douglass: "comes from a guy that never served one minute in a uniform for our country."

I have a great deal of respect for people that served in the military but I don't think that honor necessarily makes someone better qualified to serve his/her constituents as a member of the House of Representatives.

Sorry but that sounds like an attitude of entitlement to me - I served my country so I am therefore entitled to be a Representative. I was totally up in the air as to who to vote for before reading that B. S.

The "idiots" would be split on a 241/191 ratio...correct?

As far as I am concerned the current group of Federal level politicians could ALL be lumped into the idiot category.

I thought he was talking about Obummer or Clinton. Isn't it peculiar how liberals can talk out of both sides of their mouths and still end up with crap on their faces?

let's put it into full context.
.
About the negative attack ads, which say he lobbied to sell technology to China, Douglass said, "He [Hurt] is trying to impugn my patriotism." Douglass, a retired Brigadier General in the United States Air Force, cited his years in public service and in the military, and took a jab at the incumbent, stating, "Isn't that funny that it comes from a guy that never served one minute in a uniform for our country."
.
In context, it makes more sense.

Sorry, I disagree. His statement makes it sound like you can't be patriotic unless you serve in the military. That is arrogant and HOGWASH. Also, instead of these politicians citing their years in public service maybe they should cite their years of volunteer work. That "public service" c r a p is just that. Nowadays I associate "public service" with pandering to those that contribute to your campaign and forgetting who voted you into office.
