Alcohol has a way of doing that to a person,or anything else that drinks to much.

The law has changed on ordinary people assualting magical "cops". Cops are much higher up the food chain than ordinary citizens now. The change in the law now carries mandatory jail time. So I am sure stuff is made up often just to qualify a person for this mandatory jail time. Was it done in this case? We will never know unless a video exists and survives a subpoena being issued for it.

How's that for sarcasm?

And never forget the Rodney King specifics.... BEFORE a video tape surfaced. And never forget the NYPD detectives who lied about impaling a man with a broomstick.... BEFORE one of them finally confessed and turned state's evidence.

I'd love to see a video of this altercation.
The suspect's attorney would too.

The altercation/arrest occured at the Joy (OKA C-Mart) station on Rt. 250. I would hope they have camera's at this location considering it is the sight of a double murder many years ago.

If he was intoxicated and drove himself to the convenience store, I don't care what the cops did to him. But, I guess they can't prove who drove him there.

What does the fact that it was the site of a double murder "many years ago" have to do with anything? Is there likely to be another double murder there?

NO, and if you had actually read any of the previous posts you should understand that I was referencing the questions regarding if there would be any video of the event. My thought to that was that I would hope this location does have camera's due to the remote location and the history at that store. The fact that I must explain that is quite ridiculous....

Looks more like a contest to see how many different charges they could put on him for the same offence.

And to think....all of this could have been prevented. If only the parents had used birth control!

As I stated earlier on here,(some one must be dating a cop), why didn't they just taze the guy? Never dawned on Albemarles thuggish cops? They never would of had to touch the guy until putting the cuffs on. Tough guys.

This is how rookies roll nowadays. I'm surprised there wasn't a littering charge and jaywalking added in there somehow.

FYI
The father of this guy is deceased and the mother also has a disabled child. Am I surprised to read this....NO....has he had a rough life ....YES. I'm not making excuses for him....there is no excuse for his actions, but I thought you should be informed of this because of your reference to birth control. He was/is loved by his parents!

Wow...when will family and freinds realize that responding to comments like that only give them credence and do nothing to make the person they are defending look better!?!

Apologies to you and your family for those who make comments in the name of humor. I would suggest not reading the comments in these boards. They will only anger you further.

So now drunk driving and public intoxication is justification for police brutality? You don't sound like an Eagle Scout to me. Just because his judgement was impaired doesn't mean he forfeits his rights. Oh, and I'm not saying it was brutality. He may have asked for and rightfuly gotten everything they gave, just that it is possible in these cases and should be investigated.
