He can run but he can't hide, This is Millers ball of wax like it or not. Only he can be held responsible, it always starts at the top and ends at the top. His lack of concern and obtuse attitude toward the community he serves bespeaks a total lack of credibility and integrity. Disgusting.

How can the officers involved ever testify again in court? Guess they will have to go to DARE or the Police Academy.

Umm, I don't think having sex damages your ability to testify in court. Seriously, is this really still in the news? Sounds like some folks were having an affair or two...doesn't this happen just about everywhere? Why is this such a big deal? I think they should be disiplined/fired for screwing up (no pun intended), but move on folks- SERIOUSLY! Its not like they were selling drugs, planting evidence or the like...basically, if they didn't break the law then it shouldn't be blasted all over the news.

If they r having sex with someone other than their spouse they r breaking the law... GOD's law. What a waste of taxpayers money. If county employees can do this on the job & get away with it, where do people go to apply for a county job? They need 2 b dismissed. This is a BIG eyesore 4 the county & the people who run the govt. But on the other hand they are no different than some of elected officials only they got caught. Sorry.

Why are people still mad at the chief? He broke his silence and acknowledged the situation, which he claims the department took very serious. Officers have been suspended, demoted, or fired as a result. However, people are asking to have these officers jobs removed when they don't know any of the facts. As far as getting the facts, the department has every right to keep this matter internally according to their by-laws. Furthermore, the chief explained that if the matter at hand raises serious concern the files are open to investigation at any point within the counties human resource department and the commonwealth attorneys office. So if you want your juicy details those are the people to bug, not the chief.

The only thing this does is validate that the misconduct took place on duty....

Yes I am sure HR and the County Attorney's Office were involved as advisors but the decision was John Miller's.

It still doesn't make any sense that the lowest ranking member is fired and the others were not. They were in supervisory positions and finally Caroline Morris was involved with all three incidents.

How much money has been wasted by the Department in attempts to improve their image...New Badges; New Uniforms; and the list goes on but in the end we are right back were we started.

How much money has the County wasted because of Miller's trying to cover up crap going on in the Department. I seem to remember there was a lawsuit against Miller for violating an Officers 1st Ammendment Rights for speaking out against wrong doings in the Department. The court and even the appealic court found that Miller had violated those rights. Later on there was another lawsuit dealing with the same issue that was settled out of court. The list goes on and on ..........

"Thinking Free" said it best..." this is Millers ball of wax, only he can be held responsible." Start at the top and work your way down. Fire Miller now, demote those who knew and promote those who continued to hold the high morals of the Police Department and represent themselves as the true professionals we expect them to be. I still think that if this all turns out to be nothing more than a personnel issue, it's a non story. If it occurred while on duty, thats different. For now, Chief Miller is the cancer that needs to be removed.

this should not go away until the whole truth is revealed.
If I was stopped by one of these jokers on the road I would ask for another officer.
My respect for them is GONE and because I am not so sure of what exactly happened that makes it worse.
You know maybe if we knew the whole truth we could move on but hiding it just makes the dirt under the rug pile up.
Nancy Grace, help us fiqure this one out!

Is "Alienation of Affections" still a viable legal cause for a civil ( or other ) lawsuit? If so, the spouse(s) of the guilty need to get their own satisfaction ( & justice) for these "above the law" officers. We do not live in individual "bubbles". Our actions always affect others and the community - especially if the doers are in positions of authority with an exemplary influence on our children . I laugh every time someone says "Get over it." We will as soon as you can undo the deeds!

yes i think this sex scandal needs to leave the little town of c'ville and get the attention is deserves on a national scale.......its stories like this from nice college towns like c'ville that they would love to get a hold of, especially since its the same town where a young college student was recently murdered..........maybe then someone will hold a press conference and resign. I am going to the cnn site to see how to go about submitting a story. enough is enough.....no sex on the clock.......especially when there are murderers roaming our area.

You aren't giving Human Resources credit for the power that they hold. They practically run most companies. A Fortune 50 that I worked for was completely under HR's thumb. I doubt that anything was done that wasn't according to Hoyle in the way this matter was handled. HR would never let that happen. HR is all about cover your butt.
