on everything.

Now if they will only use the money on the roads and not some give away program we would be alright.

by the way where did the rest of the road money go for the past 20 plus years?

It's a mediocre, half-baked, inadequate solution at best. Hiking the sales tax is yet another way of shifting a disproportionate share of the tax burden onto the middle class. Well, I suppose the one sound argument in favor is that it's better than nothing. That's all you can expect from a legislature divided between some who are trying to fashion a 21st century Virginia and those who want to head right back to the 19th. Say, anyone got a horse 'n' buggy for Rep. Bell?

If we were to stop chasing after the boogey man cannabis plant, and see fit to legalize, tax, and regulate it we could afford to repave every road in Virginia within the next 5 years. We are wasting millions of dollars every year chasing after a plant that cures and prevents many illnesses, including many types of cancer.

Let's cut the politicians wages instead because the job they are doing suks! When is enough, enough? I am sick and tired of more & more coming out of my paycheck when I see idiots in the town I live in doing nothing but the government is taking care of them. All politicians are as sholes and worthless humans!

Bottom line:$4.4 BILLION in new taxes over five years.

Dems gave McDonnell votes for his oh-so-precious bipartisan trophy-cred to carry forward into elections for higher office, and McDonnell sells out both his promises to fight implementation of Obamacare (giving in on the Medicaid expansion) AND no tax hikes in order to get it.

McDonnell is another unprincipled RINO trainwreck who cares only about moving up the political ladder and establishing his "legacy" as governor.

"Sellout Bob". What a disgrace.

"Those praising the Virginia General Assembly’s transportation compromise may not realize that the bill runs afoul of the plain language in the state’s constitution.

Virginia’s constitution is clear that the General Assembly can impose only uniform taxes across the state for similar activities. "
