where did they get the guns - certainly they are not registered or licensed to carry? What do the idiots running the ridiculous lodge have to say? Can't we even consider relocating the housing projects past walking/ricochet distance from the downtown mall? If Jefferson could see how long the complications would last and all of the hate it would produce, he would be glad he has already found his sweet release. Merde.

Reviewing the search warrant indicates a fine job on the part of the officer. Fairly clear cut. So the CA and Longo need to get the officer back to work as soon as practicable. Morale depends on it

Yes, this is a terrible crime. But this one incident has gotten so much press and so many other crimes go unreported. Oh let's blame all the disturbances downtown on the Elks Lodge, and take the spotlight off of the Haven. Lord knows they are never a problem.

It's been years since I've visited that area. When I was working in that area I watched it degrade not just because of the criminal elements who liked to hang out at the mall; but also the yuppies who moved into the expensive apartments and started whining about the noise of bagpipes and guitars.
That whole area is nothing more than a place that hippies, yuppies and drunken college students. They can keep their slowly decaying "downtown" and share if with the occupiers and all the other useless members of our society.
Good! Don't let the door hit your **** on the way out! Don't bother coming back!

Right on. With every additional detail that comes out, it becomes clearer and clearer how fine a job this officer did...when firefighters save people from burning buildings, typically localities give them some kind of commendation, and I think this officer deserves the same...usually the best a cop hears after having to use his firearm is "you didn't do anything wrong." Well, this officer deserves to hear not just "you didn't do anything wrong," but "you did quite well" and (most importantly) "THANK YOU"

This drama has been going on for a while at this Elk's Club and maybe it's time to shut it down! Some folks of a local Black community know of the drama and don't do what's needed to stop the gun maddness. Let's not get it all twisted folks. Partying is not a right...it is a privilege!

Now both of these fools are resting and recovering at the hospital. Wonder if either of them has health insurance. If they don't, guess who the tab gets passed to? The hospital eats those costs only until it finds paying customers to pass them through to. Put bandaids on them and ship them off to jail, which is slightly cheaper for taxpayers. Would have been even cheaper if the cop was a better shot.
