Such a sad accident and a life cut off so short. Please seek Jesus while you can because we don't know when our time is going to end. Be aware, there is a life after this one and the question is "Where will you spend it?" This comment is only out of love for the many lost souls.

So very sad. I am in no way diminishing his death, I pray for his family. I am sure he was a good child. However, I work at a resort and trust me, no matter how good your children are at home, they seem to forget all manners and common sense when they are down here for senior week or spring break. I work in a resort and we constantly have to deal with the crazy kids throwing things off the balcony, into the pool, shooting fireworks, damaging our elevators, graffitti on the walls, etc. Noise all night long.

He fell from a window and not the balcony? How do you fall out of a window? This was not an accident.

There are just too many tragedies occurring at area hotels. Especially balcony falls. City council may have access to OSHA safety inspectors that might determine where the failures in safety exist. Whatever man creates he usually can correct. From a logical standpoint, it is best to fix the problems than face the lawsuits.

Those of us from Logan, which is also a resort town, have seen more than our fair share of vacationers doing the same things you describe above. It seems like people just don't care or have any common sense or decency anymore. It's sad that kids feel they have to do stupid things on vacation.

I am from Logan and my son graduated with this young man and I will assure you that these teens are not "crazy kids" and this is a very inappropriate time to start pointing fingers for bad behavior. As a reminder, accidents do happen and while there may have been other factors, he was someone's son and friend. Please remind yourself that there is a small town grieving and many of Cory's family and friends are reading this and need to have a arm put around them, not a finger pointed at them. Logan is a tourist town also and unfortunately through the summer, someone dies from falling from a cliff or climbing where they shouldn't be. Usually it's not a "crazy kid" but an 'irresponsible adult'. Let's remind ourselves of the family's they leave behind.

Was this person being stuipd by drinking (under age). Yeah lets close down senior week because of one death. Lets talk about all the other seniors who act right when there here. When people die from drowing in the ocean should we drain the ocean?

As a parent of a child that just graduated from High School, and one that's in Myrtle Beach right now, please don't judge this child. I can imagine what his parents are going through. When I heard about this my first thought was of my own son. He made a point of calling me and letting me know that he was ok just in case I heard anything on the news. Pray for Cory's family and friends. My thoughts are with all of you.

We were there, he fell THREW a hall window, not out of one. It was a window that did not open at the end of the hall. We are staying in the same hotel and agree with you.

After reading some of these comments I am very disappointed. Stop being so heartless... I knew of Cory and all of his friends. They were new graduates, young, and on senior trip having a good time. NOT “Crazy Kids” acting stupid. There was not one of them who would have wished this to happen. Everyday people take life for granite not seeing what is really to lose. Let this be a lesson something that we can all learn from instead of being so wrapped up in criticizing and blaming people. Do remember Cory was a son, a brother, a close friend, and so much more to many. Please respect his family and friends and have a heart. Last night a horrible thing happened. A young life was put to an end. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and loved ones. I can’t imagine what you all are going through right now.

I don't understand.. this was a 6th floor window on an ocean front hotel, right? I thought all those windows had to be special "impact glass" that could withstand the force of objects thrown aganist them at high rates of speed.. like hurricane winds? If this is true, how could this young man "fall" through this glass?

Then how do you fall through a window?

I will say, it is tragic this happened.
But what some people want us to believe is he's just walking down a hall, and whoops, through the window he goes. Doesn't happen.

First off, Corey was a great person and a close friend of our entire family. He was a great athlete and a very fun person to be around. It seems he was friends with almost everyone, and many young people here looked up to him.
These guys were on senior week, they were having fun and accidents happen......and if your trying to hint that he might have purposely done it you are wrong. He was not like that, so quit saying things like this and have some respect.
He is already missed here and everyone has him in there thoughts and prayers. You're loved by many and will never be forgotten.
