Too bad they can't just become responsible members of the community and pay taxes to the same community that has to tolerate the increased traffic affecting infrastructure, the increased impact on public safety, and other various negative effects. No, instead they'll offer those little "civic donations" at Christmas time, grudgingly pay special funds, and then boast about all they do for the community. That's sad that they can't even be as stand up as the folks running the casinos in Nevada (which are also subject to stricter gaming controls.)

There is a fire station in front of the FF casino. I have never seen the equipment on the road, only parked in front of the station.

Listen to the local police and fire on a scanner and you'll realized those police and fire departments are a sham. There are constant calls out to CDF and law enforcement to both the casinos. Everything under the sun crime-wise and medical wise. Go to this site and search for "casino" in the logs: http://www.buttecounty.net/sheriffs/Publiclog... .

I agree. Pay for a service and get it but don't expect all of the benefits without the cost.
