Subdivision at Oro Bay moves closer

Although it's not a done deal, Oroville City Council moved development west of the Oroville Business Airport on Highway 162 a little closer to town.

Well Done Oroville City Council can't wait to walk through Oro Bay to enjoy the parks and public trails.

That last paragraph should be re-written as: "In the end, Mayor Steve Jernigan, Vice Mayor Jamie Johansson, and couniclors Sue Corkin and Mike Howard voted yes, while foaming at the mouth chanting "growth, growth, growth!" Councilman Jack Berry and Art Hatley voted no as they were the only ones who kept their wits about them and were concerned with quality of life.

Keep in mind, quality of life is subjective. it depends on the individual to determine what that means.

Quality growth is intelligent land use planning. Bad, unplanned growth, is cancer.

No kidding? That's what he neighbors said. They moved there because of their idea that the quality of life is better in a rural setting, and a Southern California development is going in next door.
